I would stick with a good spinning reel in that price range. A symetre would be a good choice.

I don't know if you just want new but in that price I would look into a used boat. My family was in that price ranger and we got a used ranger fish/ski (wouldn't recomend fish/sky however) for about that price with a 200 merc and it 18.5 ft. Runs great and have had little problems. Just the looks of both i think the nitro looks better.

I would go with the 50mg however i don't have any experience with the other 2 except for in the store. I have 3 of the 50mg's and they are my favorite reel. With the 50mg you are probably going to have a sub 10oz rod and reel combo. Also, what you said about the zillion is true about more of a heavy bait reel. Well your not the 1st person think of it. About a year ago a person was fishing below the spillway at a local lake and caught a bomb. The story was on the news around here and in one fishing magazine.

That may have been one of the stupidest things i have heard you say tim. They don't even make any double barrels. The best shotgun ever made is the winchester model 21. Browning has many great shotguns. Not to mention Fox, Ithica, bereta, parker, and many more that would make this list to long. But each gun has it purpose. You wouldn't take a parker and break ice with it on the way to the duck the blind. You also don't get the quality with a nova that you do in a model 21.

There is a new bass pro opening about 30 min from my house in about a week and was wondering if there is anything special that bass pro carries that I need to look at. I have a Cabelas about the same distance so if there is anything cool or different that bass pro carries over Cabelas fill me in before i go. Thanks

I think the imx is worth the money. If you get on ebay you can get imx at about the same price as a gl3 from a dealer.

I don't have any lucky thing but i do find wearing a hat unlucky for me. I am probably one of the few people who don't wear a hat when they fish but i just don't do as good with a hat on.
