  1. My car has the number pad on the side so i am safe.
  2. Another vote on the keen. A good thing about them is they have a hard toe so if you ever wade in the water you don't have to worry about getting your toes caught between two rocks. Which hurts, a lot.
  3. These are in order of use for me. Craw Papi (YUM) Wolly Bug (YUM) Cut Tail (GYCB) Wolly Beaver Tail (YUM) Trick Worm (ZOOM)
  4. Good choice with the IMX. I love the loomis rods, i have that model in gl3 and use it for jigs primarily.
  5. I asked this question a while ago but thought there may be a few new cool rods. lest see um
  6. It hasn't been real long for me. I am only 17, so i have been a member for aout 3 years. 5 Curado BSF 3 Chronarch 50MG 1 Calais 200 1 stradic 3 symetres Most reels were inherited from my Grandpa who passsed away this summer.
  7. I would say get some spot removers and some yamamoto cut-tails to put on them. That is one of my best baits around here. Just get what ever color works good in your lakes and it should work great.
  8. Team Daiwa Vibrations
  9. I am surprised no one has said anything about the most important modification I bet most pro's do. DRAG A good drag that is strong and smooth is probably done to most reels on tour. When fishing for $100,000 you are not relying on every day stuff.
  10. If you can feel a loomis rod in the store i would go check them out. Then you can make your mind up on your own. Ther is no real advantage to having them be all one company on the rod. The loomis will probably feel a little lighter. Med-Heavy Loomis=Med. St. croix in my mind
  11. There are very few bad lines on occasion you will purchase a bad spools from a good brand. Most companies that are out today and can stay on the market are good lines. Look at the range of answers you are getting. It is almost all personal preference. I don't like cajun line because its red. I don't like some brands because they don't have a clear blue, that doesn't make them a bad line it just makes it not what i am looking for. I like: Trilene clear blue Gama Suffix
  12. a SPOT REMOVER doesn't matter what plastic I have on it, thats my go to technique.
  13. Mepps Spinner Everyone has used one, it the most basic lure but it catches fish.
  14. I fish the spot remover on a loomis mbr783c, chronarch 50mg, and 10 pound mono or floro. I have no problem casting with this combo, i personally like using a baitcaster for shaky head fishin. However in your situation braid may be a good choice with the thick brush and large fish. You can always get a heavier jighead and fish it on one of your normal rods.
  15. Expensive: Mom's home made prime rib Normal price: Steak, medium rare
  16. It depends on how much money you want to spend. less than $150: I would spend more on a reel $150-200:Even amount on both $200 and up:more on the rod.
  17. http://japantackle.com/4x4system.htm I don't own one but saw this when lookin around.
  18. Rapala DT Rat-l-traps Rapala x-raps Norman DD22 spit-n-king spook's If you can afford them Luck craft lv-500 pointer 78 Rick Clunn's
  19. Humkertko, It was in a add from the paper. It is only for the first 4 hours so get there fast. they open at 8 am and the offer ends at 12.
  20. KU Saturday morning at cabelas they have 25% off every rod and reel (except shimano, go figure). The sale is only good for 4 hours so get there early. Just thought i would give you the heads up.
  21. You could change a curado 100D into a 5.0-1 gear ratio for about $15. (may also work on 50mg but an not possitive) http://heartlandtackleservice.com/default.asp if you talk to jim he can tell help you. If you really like to tinker with reels you could get the Scorpion 1000mg ($175 off ebay), 5-1 gear ratio, and a drag upgrade.
  22. I live in lawrence and didn't know if it just did that because thats where the computer was or if it did that for everyone. I have lived in lawrence for 17 years and haven never seen an alien RW.
  23. http://www.plat.co.jp/english/bass/megabass/rod/top.htm He has a large selection of megabass rods and prices (yen however).
  24. I saw your post about the great customer service from g. loomis and if customer service is important to you then Megabass is not high on the list. The rods are great (what i heard don't own one) but the customer service is not. I think they only have a one year warranty and if you break the rod not fishing its only like 40% return for 1 year.
