You could always do what i DID. In my garage I have a wall of pegboard where I hang my tools. I got to the point also where I was starting to collect a lot of fishing stuff, so I hung 2 more sheet of pegboard so I can see all the extra stuff I have; in case I decide to go back to it. If it is out of sight of me, I forget what I have. Anyway, it looks cool in my garage and makes people think I know what the hell I am doing when it comes to fishin' ;D ;D ;D Boy can I fool 'em! ;D

Yeah, Jaggrich, that is a good feeling, more like a large sense of relief that came over me coming off the lake today. I felt like I was still in the game! What a relief! Fishing Gods, Shine On! ;D ;D

Well, I finally got into some today!! Found a rocky bluff area, water temp was 63 deg. Started using 4" green robo worms on a darter 1/4 oz. darter jig head. They started hitting about 8:00 am. Landed 5 , missed a couple of more, (once my bait came untied with a nice one on it.) had some nice strikes too. Poor fish, swimming around there with 1/4 oz. of lead in its mouth. Anyway, I got off the lake feeling pretty good. At least I know I could still catch some. I came home and my daughter said, "See Dad, I knew your fishing didn't suck! " ;D

Has anyone everr used the Hummingbird® RF 10 Mobile Station SmartCast Fish Finder. This is the fish sinder where you attach the sensor to your fishing line and cast out, up to 100' and it sends bach a signal to a miniture station on your boat. Used to send back a signal to a wrist watch type screen. If so, how well does it work, and what circumstances have you found it works best in. Does it work in choppy water? ??? ???

Mudpuppy, As a matter of fact, I did! They said that would be another $15 to tune it. Oh well, probably money well spent, don't you think! ;D

Mudpuppy, I took your advice and took the rod back to Fisherman's Warehouse. They are sending it back to Pfleuger for me....no questions asked. As frustrating as it was yesterday, heck, I went back buying more baits today (more Senko's, beavers, and bought some "big units" also from Reaction Innovations. I also bought some of that Mega Strike paste stuff. Maybe that will help ;D ;D

Oh boy, wait until RoadWarrior sees this post! He is a BIG live Shiner fisherman. He swears by them. He also has alot of experience and can probaby give you some very good tips. I have no doubt he'll have somethings to say ;D ;D

Thanks,so far guys! The other thing I forgot to tell you, is that somehow my 7'6 Pfleuger Trion rod(brand spankin' new) broke about a foot from the end. How it did, I don;t know. I just looked down and noticed the rod looked a little weird. Upon closer inspection the end was broken. Hadn't even used it yet! What a day..... Oh well, still beats work!

Ok, I don't know what it is, but I have come to the conclusion that I should take up another leisure activity. I went out today with my son, he caught a few dinks, I got skunked,. I suck at this any more. It is very frustrating (still beats work ;D ;D) I am going to have to really rethink what I am doing. Got some taps on some robo worms, couldn't nail them though. Any of you ever gotten to this point where you just feel so puzzled? ??? ???

OK, I taking my son fishing tomorrow morning. Ever have one of those nights before the trip, where you have no idea what you are going to rig up? I just don't know what I am going to set up. I have 4 baitcasters and 3-4 spinning rods I can set up but just am puzzled with what to set up. The lake I am going is clear to partly stained, 58-59 degrees, some cover as the water is up (somehat flooded) has a nice island with some deep water not too far off. I was there last week and picked up some fish on my FF at 28-36 ft. Problem is there are trout in this lake also, couldn't figure out what they were (trout or bass) threw some senkos at them...nothing. Anyway, any advice is WELCOME! Remember I still have to show my boy (22 yrs old) that the old man can still catch them. HELP!

Well, I must be living right. last weekend my 19 yr old daughter went fishing with me (yes, 19 yr old daughter) Last night my 22 yr old son asked if I wanted to go fishing this saturday! (It might have something to do with the bass we caught together 3 weeks ago on 5 inch weightless Senkos. PS: First time we ever fished Senkos ;D I'm 50 and still think I am a neophyte fisherman!! Just wish I could go ut and consistently catch those darn fish ;D

As far as I know there are none in Nor. Calif. So all my shoppingisdome from my family room, via a wireless laptop ;D ;D I do wish they would build one as I have neverr been in one! :'( :'(

I don't want to get into the Buy American stuff argument. I am as strong an American as they come..Ronald Reagan Republican in fact. But there are very few products that are totally made in Amerca these days. This is a world economy now...like it or not. Also, if it were not for the Japanese in auto's etc (including boat motors) in driving quality and reliability to higher standards, there would have been little motivation for improvement by domestic manufacturers. With the Japanese coming into the market with higher quality products has "forced" American manufacturers to improve their quality. Again, I am a strong red blooded American, but had these foreigners not come into our marketplace with improved quality, we would not see the higher quality American products we see today. I am sure this may cause a lot of angst and higher blood pressure from some readers here, but that's the way I see it. Oh and by the way, ain't it great that we can have differing opinions....I love America! PS: For those who drive GM products and think they are "made in America" take a moment and open the hood.

Yeah, Terre Haute has needed a store like that for sometime. I am glad to know it is there. When I go back this year, I am going to check it out. Terre Haute has a lot of outdoors type of people and a lot of duck hunters. ;D That store will draw from 75 miles all around ...good location.
