building a pond
There are place on the internet you can find out about ponds ie. google searches also I would talk to some of your local officials. I have no doubt they have assisted many people about pond building and the do's and don'ts. Heck, there may even be some tax benefits or grants available to help. If you look hard enough you can find out this type of information.

fishing equipment information needed
no offense, NoLuckfishing, but one way I believe to improve your fishing might be to change your handle. a handle like noluckfishing has no confidence about it. One thing you will or have read all through these forums is that confidence is a key factor to success. I don't know why I am bringing this up other than every time I sse your handle this thought goes through my mind and I couldn't resist any longer... Please don't take offense to this. It is meant to help! :)

Gander Mtn in Terre Haute?
Tommybass, Yeah I know all that area very well. My wife lived in Sullivan prior to our marriage and she has many relatives there still. Tindalls store there was my wifes uncles store. My mother in law was a Tindall and they had lots of relatives in the Sullivan, Carlysle, Oaktown areas. I used to fish some small strip pits south of TH and east off of 46 and 59. Also east by Brazil. Anyway, I do miss fishing the midwestern lakes. I kinda preferred the more dinghy water there than we have out here in Calif. Water is very clear out here...a little tougher to fish, I think. FYI, there are quite a few folks on this forum form Indiana come to find out. Cephkiller is down from around your way and there are others. Anyway, good luck with your fishing there this year. Please let me know how it goes for you. I may try to get back there later this summer and do some fishing,, Tight lines!

Gander Mtn in Terre Haute?
If it's in the old Service merchandise building that is Great! The building is humongous, and it is in a great location. Right off the Interstate 70 and US 41. easy to get to and lots of decent places to eat. I wish I could go there but it is only 2500 miles from where I live now. Terre Haute needed something like that. It really didn't have much in the way of a good sporting good store for quite some time. Thanks for the info Tommybass. BTW, I saw where you lived close by, whereabouts?

Best handling bass boat.....
As fatdaddy151 said, "The point is get what you want and congratulate a fellow basser on his new purchase." DITTO. I think my new Pflueger President Baitcaster is the best reel going. Doesn't mean it is better than all the others but it is the best I have ever owned and "just feels right for me" We should be happy for each other when one goes out and purchases something you've been waiting to do....whether a boat or reel or whatever. ;D

What do you pull your boats with?
Funny you should ask. I have a 12 ft molded compound boat with a little 4 hp Nissan motor, ff, trolling motor, etc. It is a light boat. Been using a 2001 Chevy S-10 (4 cylinder) no problem so far. However I 've been contemplating a 17 ft boat of some kind for sometime now. went out and bought a new 2005 Toyota Fourunner. Now I don;t know if I want to get the bigger boat this year or not. Go figure ??? ???

Slow B.A.S.S.
Daniel, I just got my magazine last week and my tackle bag a few days later. Altogether, after I sent in my check, probably took a week or so. I would give them a call if they are that slow. Nice bag though. Probably a good bag to store your plastics in....

Tracker 175 vs: G3 Eagle 175
Hey BIPR8, You might want to check those prices again. I know the Tracker should have a higher price than the one you show. Did you add the shipping and the dealer prep prices? I know a Tracker was quoted to me with a 60hp and it was well over $15K/ I believe all the pricing for tracker is national, no diskering on price. The only differences are the shipping prices due to the different zones. I would recommend you call a Tracker dealer and have them give you a quote. The Tracker websute does not add the shipping and dealer prep $$. I am going to check out the boatboys,om

Electrical problem with FF & Trolling motor
I was out today on the water. (Only caught a couple dinks..water very muddy from recent rains :-[) Anyway, I had my Garmin fishfinder on and when I went to use my foot operated trolling motor, I noticed the FF would go off. When I let loose of the foot pedal the FF would come back on. Everytime I hit the foot pedal, the FF would go blank. Anyone have this happen to you? Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this problem? FYI, the boat is small and I have a small outboard (rudder type) so I have one battery and the FF and the trolling motor are powered from it. Thanks for any suggestions. I have to get this fixed, going back out Sat. morning.

Tracker Boats
Excuse me, I mentioned the Gambler inmy earlier post, comparing that to the Tracker. I meant to say the G3 Eagle 175. Don't get me wrong, those Gamblers are nice boats, but for the limitied amount of fishing I can do, I can't justify buying a Gambler. I am looking at either the G# or Bass Tracker.
