  4. When you go to bed at 10:00 PM on friday night to try to get enough sleep so you can get up int he morning, then toss and turn all night wondering how you should attach a new body of water.....then at 2:00 Am (with no sleep) you say fire truck this! and get up...and start getting your gear in order. Like I just did! I hope I don't fall asleep and fall into the water.
  5. Got that right! It is about the total experience. I live for saturday mornings. God bless my wife. She know I "need" to go fishing and has never complained, in fact, she is always pushig me to do more or stay later....Should I be worried?

  8. Unforunatley, Saturdays are the only day I can fish. So I cherish the thought of getting up early and relishing the early morning and my peaceful time before I leave in the morning. Here's my routine. Get up at 4:00. (I set the Coffemaker the night before so it is read ywhen I get up...got to have my Coffee!) Pour it in my Fishing mug, go out to my garage, turn on my "mood light", turn on a little light jazz in the background, smoke my morning cigarettes...yeah, i'll quit someday but not today:) Sit and plan out my fishing strategy, maybe check Bassresource quickly for any tips I might have missed Friday night with my wireless laptop I take to the garage with me. Make my two sandwiches, load my cooler with water and a few soft drinks. Take a walk around the house outside to listen to the wild peacocks or birds right before sunup. I try to take in as much of the peacefulness and serenity of the early morning as possible. Hit the water by 6:30. and let er rip. What's your routine?

  16. I am thinking about fishing the Sacramento slough this weekend. Was there lst year but was unable to catch anything., Thing is, IT has to have some nice bass in it. The slough it self is about 2-3 miles long and flows into the Sacramento river. Most of my fishing has been in reserviors or lakes. Any tips, techinques you guys can help me with in fishing this slough? Thanks! ???
  17. Betty Rubble! Berkeley Lightning rods or Bionic blades?

  20. HEEELLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO....ANYBODY HOME??? How can this question be your first post? I regisitered in this forum in mid January of this year. I was something like the 300+ member. Since that time (6 months) it has grown 700%! Now ask your question again! ;D
  21. It is called Capitlaism. If GY needed to drop his price he would. Obvioulsy, he does not need to. To make some analagies. Think of the Dinger as the GM product in the mid size sedan market. Think of GY as the Toyota or Honda of the Mid sized Sedan market. If one is perceived to be of higher quality than it is in the eyes of the consumer. Perception is reality. Until that perception is changed, GY will be able to keep higher prices than his competitors. Also, Earthworm brought up a good point regarding target market. That has a lot to do with it as well.
  22. I'd have to honestly give myself a 4 to a 5. Since I started fishing the clearer, cooler lakes of Northern California, it is a bit more frustrating. for me. (Vs the dingier waters of Indiana) Also, the last couple of years I have gone out and purchased more different types of lures, rods, reels, etc. I catch myself second guessing myself quite often. I love to fish, especially for the relaxation and the serenity of the water.....but I need to get more focused when I am out there. Frankly, I seem to like to fish by meself more and more. I am too nice of a host when I take others. Hope that makes sense.
  23. Yeah, that's the ticket. That is exactly why I Like fishing because, catching them is so difficult! ;D
  24. Muddy Man, That is a very inspiring stroy. Glad to hear you were able to get your life back. I am sure you have a completely different and healthier perspective on life. O am sure we all have been through some trials and tribulations in life. I know I have. It has made me a stronger, gentler person. Glad to hear your story and for sharing. Best of luck!
  25. I guess he is MIA. Call 9-1-1. It's time for an APB. His wife has him tied up in the closet or something.
