  2. Finding Bassresource.com!
  3. Great that she goes out with you though. Well, she USED to go ut with you! ;D ;D Serioulsy, glad she's OK. Good tip to heed for all us fishermen (and fisherwomen)

  8. WHy can't they make a sonar unit that emits a sound like baitifsh...something that would attract the fish...Just a thought! Glenn, don't delete this idea. Maybe I could retire a millionaire. Heck, they can make sound emitters for everything else. ;D

  12. Hey, I have to admit, Bill Dance is my sentimental favorite. Whether he is the best or not is debatable. I don't know much about the statistics of these finalists and such so I can't argue with most of you on this subject. The only thing I can argue with is the logic used in a few instances regaridng who should and who shouldn't be on the list. First, the contest is for "the greatest angler of all time" The fact that some may have not fished competitively recently so they should not be on the list is flawed logic. That would be like saying a Larry Bird or Michael Jordan shouldn't be considered for basketball because they have not played rfecently, just doesn't make good logic. Hope this makes sense.
  13. Hey GamblerOH. one of the best inventions known to man is the wireless laptop. I can sit 5 feet from my wife while she watches those same shows, (Bachelor, etc) and I can be online doing this. We both feel like we are spending time together. I not up in my office on-line, or somewhere else. These wireless laptops are cool. I don't think I could go back to the hardwired.ayway fyi. It would help in your situation where you could do this and she could watch her TV shows.
  14. As others have said, the key is to make time for her also. Whether it is together or you plan your fishing at times when she is busy doing her thing. I only fish on Satruday mornings, but that is a good time for both as she goes to the grocery store and does some laundry etc. so it is not really getting into "our time" . However, because she does not give me any trouble and in fact encourages me to fish, I never take it for granted. I will usually see what she wants to do Saturday aftgernoon and go do something with her for her understanding. It is give and take. I;ve been married 29 years now and finally have found a way to make it work for both of us. I am a lucky man! ;D
  15. KU that is funny! Dogs are great.! ;D I like to go bass fishing with my son or daughter, or by myself. Fankly, sometimes, I prefer to fish by myself. Do what I want ,when and where i want and not be concerned about others. But, nothing better than to watch my kids catch fish. I would rather they catch them than me; when i am out with them.
  16. http://www.rbbi.com/desks/regs/ca2439/toxic.htm Will, check out the above website. It deals with a proposed bill in CA dealing with the same subject. Hope it helps. I found by the following google search "two stroke engines in California". Good luck!
  17. Those are cherished moments! Cherish them all!
  18. IS the sun up or down? Is it cold or hot? is it a day of the week that ends in (d-a-y) If any of the above answers is Yes.....Go Fishin! ;D
  19. Thanks, Raul... You just HAD to show those to us, didn't you ? ;D
  20. Now that's FUNNY! LOL, LOL! ask my wife? I don;t think so. I just do the old "puppy dog " trick and she feels sorry for me and tells me to go get it! ;D
  21. Here is the warranty info on the Optima website. Seems somewhat nebulous. Warranty In the event of failure, retain your original receipt for proper issuance of credit. Claims without proper identification of purchase date will result in adjustment from the date of manufacture. To evaluate your battery for warranty, take the battery along with your original receipt to the place of purchase for battery testing. 22. OR send them tome and I'll display them! ;D ;D
  23. Phisn Phool, I would not get rid of those old lures. I am sure they ARE worth something. I ahve always been intrigued by old lures. I wish I would have kept some of my old lures. Frankly, I don't know where to go to find the value of old lures. If nothing else, display them! ;D
  24. I never really went fishing with my dad. He and my mother divorced when I was 8. However, ia am really trying to spend the time fishing with my two youngest kids (19 & 22) We used to fish together years ago until my hiatus of fishing for 7 years. I started back up last year and the kids are fishing with me about 2 out of 4 weeks each month. That is a great story metalhack. I hoping my kids will do that when i am 64! Keep it up!
  25. I used to fish quite a bit back in Indiana prior to my move out to Cal. in '97. I only started back fishing last year. These Cal. lakes are a lot diferent than the lakes in the midwest. They are clearer, cooler and deeper. (ie. tougher to fish) At least for me.
