Tracker Boats
I have been looking at the 175 also. I think they have a special going until the end of march. Motor upgrade, etc. But the $9k price is a litte sly on thier part. That price is with a 25HP motor, + you have to add transportation by differnt zones, and dealer prep. Just be sure you get all that info with the dealer. I priced one out with a 60HP and it was a little over $15K. Just fyi. You might alos look at the Gambler. It looks pretty sweet too.

Reservoir or Lake
Being here in California, I would say a lake would warm quicker. The water would be darker, ie absorb heat better and not as deep as reservoirs. My guess anyway.....

Do you like music ?
With all this talk about cd changers, stereos, ac/dc, and all, are you not concerned about the noise spooking the fish? Afterall, we have all heard about being careful not kicking tackle boxes around in the boat, being extremely quiet when approacjing a spot, etc. What gives?? ??? ??? ;D

Wave a magic wand...and you are there.
Hey KU Bassmaster, I can certainly understand your love for fishing and the school thing. However, you need to keep your grades up so you are not fishing for food in the future. When you have to fish for food, then it becomes a chore and no fun anymore. Go to school, study hard and make fishing your reward to yourself for studying hard and getting good grades. IE lookat it like you deserve to fish after a good day at school and getting your homework done.

Wave a magic wand...and you are there.
Where would be your dream place to go fish for a week, if you could just wave a magic wand and be there? Also, what type of fishing would it be?

Food On The Water?
Cheese and crakers, p-butter and crackers, ham sandwiches, pop, water, sometimes some fruit. I do like th idea of the hot dogs in the thermos. I wonder how many hotdogs you can fit in there and still be hot at noon.

Do you like music ?
One of the reasons i like to fish is to get on the water and listen to the naturla sounds. I leave radios, etc at home. Why listen to music when you canhear so many sounds you usually don't hear. I love the sounds of frogs, birdes, fish jumping, etc. With a headset you would miss all that.

Gill nets at Guntersville..What is going on???
Watchin Loudmouth Bass this morning, there was a feature on about the Alabama authorities allowing gill net fisherman to use their nets on the lake. Supposedly, there were large number of LM bass 5-9#'s floating dead on the water due to the gill netters. What is going on there? Does anyone know the facts about this situation? I would be interested to know. Sounds like the Alabama DNR needs to hear from some of us.

They stole my stuff!!!
That sucks big time! When I moved to California for a new job, I came out 4 months before I moved the family out. On my first trip I had 4 suticases and my best fishing stuff. I had a rod carrier chocked full of my best rods and reels, etc. I had that thing jammed full so I could get as much out here as and still get on the airplane. When I picked up my rental car, I started loading my stuff in the trunk and had set my rod carrier standing upwhile I put the suitcases in the trunk. Well, anxious to check my directions map to where I was going , I closed the trunk lid and forgot I left the rod carrier standing up next to the car. I took off and didn't realize I left it until the next morning. I drove back to Hertz the next morning and to no avail. SOme rent-a-car lackey today is fishing with my stuff. I hope he appreciates what he has. I figured there was probably $1000 worth of stuff. I learned a valuable lesson then...when ttaveling pay attention to the fishing stuff first ! Fatdaddy, I feel for you....I feel your pain. The bad thing is, most of us have some sentimental value attached to some of our cherished fishing stuff.
