Add some blue for bluegills; add some yellow for everything; mix up an "orange" for crawfish. Play around with the stuff and colors. Just keep it in a cool place.
  3. Wow! And I thought the temperature heading for 18* tonight in Richmond was bad. I guess you will have to lock the trailer hitch; store the batteries; and read some good fishing books this winter as you arn't going anywhere for a spell.

  5. The unions always support the democrats. The unions are looking for a payback. Can the democratic president, Senate and congress not pay the unions back? Stay tuned.
  6. Dominion Dan, This is a command performance. We expect you to be there. Make plans now.
  7. And consider Sexy Chartreuse Shad and Ghost Minnow. Both are good producers for me.
  8. Thanks, guys. I plan to go to BPS and see what they have and if I am not happy with their selection I will order as you all suggest. I sincerely appreciate the feedback.
  9. Lots of boat dealers and other vendors selling their wares like plastics, hard baits, rods, reels, etc. Last year they had some great presentations. I attended Ike's seminar and although I had heard the information previously, it was nice hearing it again and seeing Ike. Hopefully we will have more vendors now that the show is under new management. Come on over so we all can get together on day.
  10. Yes. My experience has been baby catfish. I have not seen any larger catfish eaten by a LMB.
  11. Bass guy fishing in his boat in a marsh area. As he is sitting down changing lures, he hears an argument. He raises his head slowly and sees two bass boats about 50 yards away in the marsh. One of the guys in the bass boat with the two guys pulls out a gun and shoots the guy who is alone in his bass boat. The shooters take off and never see the witness. The witness goes over and sees the dead guy and calls the authorities. After telling the sheriff as much as he can, they let him go. Now, he starts to see the two guys in Bass Pro Shop, at ramps, in tournaments but he is not totally sure so he starts following them. The story picks up from there....with your help! ;D Bass boat chases; escapes from BPS; money and drugs; guns; hot women and fishing. This can have it all.
  12. Muddy, you are so right. We get adicted easily and when we get legal drugs many people don't think that they are addictive. Right now all I take is an 81 miligram asprin each day. I hope never to have to be on pain or other meds. You are doing great so keep up the good work. And for Mook, you are OK. ;D ;D ;D
  13. I can't find any nice 2009 bass fishing calandars. I have the 2008 Wildlife Foundation of Florida calendar but so far I can't seem to find if they are offering a 2009 version. I did find one nice calendar on the web for $21 each. I get two each year - one for office and one for home. Any suggestions???? Thanks in advance.
  14. Kistler + Chronarch = $$$$$$ If you got it, make the Bait Monkey happy and go for it. ;D
  15. Yes, I figured. So do I give out advice to everyone???? :

Great to have another guy from Virginia on the site. Welcome and start asking your questions and giving us your knowledge, too.
  17. October 24 and 25, 2009 are the new dates for the TBF Collegiate Northern Region Championship on the James River out of Osborne Landing. Hope we can meet some of our Forum college fishermen at the tournament on the Historic James River. Secret James River advice given to SEC schools, only.

  20. The Richmond Fishing Expo will be January 16, 17 and 18 at Richmond International Raceway. The 2009 event is early in the month of Janaury so everyone mark your calendars. Maybe a bunch of us can meet at the Expo on Saturday morning? Just food for thought.

The white bottom is excellent and the color scheme outstanding. Did you consider adding any "orange" to the bait or more "red" to the gills? What about better eyes? Would that be too much of a problem to add lazer eyes or more realistic eyes? How long is the bait? It looks the size of a Mann's Minus One, which is perfect for a wake bait. You have one rattle in it. Ever consider putting two smaller rattles inside in place of the large one? Just food for thought. Overall, the bait looks outstanding. Good job.
  22. What is it's range in yards? The range to a sure kill.

Wonderful you are with us. We always like SEC guys and people from the great states of Louisiana and Texas. "Catt" knows all about fishing in your area so look for his posts, etc. I used to fish the Biloxi Marsh and Mississippi Sound along with Lake Pontchartrain when growing up in New Orleans. Went crabbing this past summer and had a fantastic time on a bayou southeast of NOLA. Be sure to send in your outing stories and pics for us guys who are freezing our fannies off this winter.
  24. A big welcome to the forum. We love the SEC guys. The more, the better. Fishing in Louisiana is fantastic. From redfish and speckled trout in Venice and the Gulf up to the northern part of the state for bass. And you have the mighty Mississippi for catfish, etc. Enjoy the fishing and the hurricanes! Geaux Tigers. ;D
