First Attempt in About a Month to Target a Nice Bass
Glad you got out on the water and did not catch any dead bodies in New Jersey in your pond. Your bait selections seemed to be on target. Do you think a wacky rigged Senko would have produced bites if they were in the structure? Or a Texas-rigged Senko? Any thoughts about using a spinnerbait next time out? Can you throw a crankbait and not lose it? Be sure to send us those pics once you get them. Stay warm.

Just for Laughs

Nope. Not only is it going to be too cold but I am afraid of werewolves. Werewolves come out when the moon is full.

bass master classic your top 5 to win
I would love to see these in the top five but of course, the odds are 50 to one for each and 250 to one for all five. Mike Iaconelli Kevin VanDam Greg Hackney Aaron Martens Gerald Swindle But there are so many great guys fishing this year. Boyd Duckett Jamie Laiche Ish Monroe Takahiro Omori Skeet Reese Derek Remitz Frem Roumbanis Terry Scroggins Kevin Wirth Mike Wurm Alton Jones ommy Biffle Todd Auten and the list goes one. Just hope we do not have any DQ's this year and that everyone has a great tournament and no one gets injured.

I can't wait until you finally get your truck and paint it. That truck could look like one big crankbait! As usual, your paiting is excellent. Keep up the good work.

The first big batch of the 2X4 UPDATE:VIDEO
Four Bizz, You outdid your self. They are simply magnificient. How do they perform in the water? We want to know if you get any hits or catch anything, too. Great job. You may have found your calling and future employement. Open up a Fourbizz Tackle web site and lets place some orders.

humminbird side imaging
That Hummingbird sidescanner looks interesting but I will wait a few years before purchasing any sidescanner as the techonology is going to improve. I have a LMS-332 Color Monitor Lowrance on the console and an X-102 Color Monitor on the bow. I think you would be smart installing both. They are not in tandem. I use the LMS-322 for sonar, depth, temperature, tracking (has a map chip) and speed. I use the X-102 up front to see what is under us and the water temperature and depth. So far, so good.

Favorite old lure
Welcome, Graph. Nope, not familiar with that lure. Glad you are with us and that we can count on your wisdom to help us be better bass fishermen and just plain people.

Who is your favorite tackle retailer and why?
We are fortunate in the greater Richmond, Virginia as we have Green Top just up north from Richmond; Castaways (excellent selection of Zoom products) down south in Chester; and Dance's way down south in Colonial Heights. Among the three you can probably find what you are looking for. Then again, we have Gander Mountain up north in just south of Ashland and the new Bass Pro Shop being constructed on I-95 just north of Richmond and Gander Mountain. I don't care for Peckers although there is one in my back yard at the Stony Point Fashion Park that I walk to or take the neighbor's dog for her walk. She loves the perfume section of Dillards.

What is your favorite late night food? Boating/fishing food too?
Peanut Butter & Jelly at night. Roast beef on sliced bread with tomatos and smothered in mayonaise on the boat along with Snickers bars. Those big Snickers you get at Wal-Mart are great.

Briery Creek and Sandy River Reservoir

LSU QB suspended
Inside info from people in the know in Baton Rouge: "LSU is generally happy with RP and what he has been doing. The suspension was to get his immediate attention to keep him from doing worse later and to let him know LSU was on top of him. Unless he does something else stupid, current plans are to lift the suspension when spring practice starts per source inside the LSU athletic department. So basically he is missing about 6 weeks of working out with Moffitt. The boy has a natural propensity to mess-up that will very likely torpedo his NFL prospects. He missed team meetings, classes and conditioning work sessions. He has been suspended by Tommy Moffit. His locker has been cleaned out. He can returm but his fanny is on notice and the back-ups Lee and Hatch will get the lions share of the spring work." Believe It or Not!!!
