So I am in Sam's Club a few weeks ago and I see all these Wii things all over the place. Since I am computer illetrate I could care less and have no idea what these Wii things do. Three days later I have a conference with two of my clients and one is going crazy looking for a Wii for her boys. So I tell her about Sam's Club and these Wii things all over the place. She rushes to Sam's Club that evening and they are all gone. That's right, all gone. Last I spoke with her she was headed for Circuit City to be there when they opened this past Saturday as it was rumored that they were getting in a shipment of the Wii's. No idea if she scored one or not. Man, do I miss the fun of stuff or what?

Remember the structure of the lilly pad. It is formed by a very strong stem that forms a "V" at the base. Fish like to hang out in the "V" formations so it is imperative that the fish 1) see your bait; 2) can follow it or get to it from down in the pads roots; and 3) be able to strike your bait. All of the responses are excellent so give them all a try. You may want to try a different rig to get your bait into the pads. When the bait is in the pads you want to JIGGLE it with your rod tip to make it bounce up and down a little so the bass will see it. Use a weedless plastic and a one ounce weight on some strong line, such as 20 pound test or braid. You can fish it Texas or Drop Shot style just as long as it is weedless. Pitch it into the pads and let it fall as far as it can go. Then, using the rod tip, bounce the bait, every so slightly, up and down. You can always use a brass bullet weight and a glass bead to make some noise, too. If no hits, then fish the outside of the pads. Have fun experimenting.

I want to go to all of the SEC stadiums to see a game and Florida is one of the remaining four sites I have left on my list. So, maybe one fall I'll give you a call. I hate snow. But I am from Louisiana where I had snow on the ground only once growing up when I was in the 6th grade. A long, long, long time ago. Sorry to hear about your problems but things will get better and the snow will melt and the lakes and ponds will fill up with water and the fishing will be super this spring. Just be careful and watch out for a heart attack. Shoveling snow is hard and difficult as I have done it a few times in Virginia. Did I say that I hate snow?

When to use crankbaits vs. spinners vs. jerkbaits vs. topwaters - None known other than included in Woo Daves and KVD's and Ike's productions. Hey Robbie, As a non-boater you are at a distinct disadvantage regarding your tackle. First, there may not be enough space for 10 rods, your drinks, your lunch and snacks and your tackle bag. So it is necessary to make some plans when you are a non-boater. Here are my suggestions: 1. Contact the boater and find out what he is going to throw. He will tell you a few of the rigs he will use but all of them. Just be ready to throw a topwater, spinnerbait, crankbait, jig, Senko, wacky rig and shaky head. 2. Take some extra reels along so you can change out line strength and if you get a bad baitcaster backlash. Easier to change a reel than to put down a rod and reel which can get in the way. Remember, the back of the boat has a smaller fishing platform than the front of the boat so storage of your rods and reels, etc. can be difficult. 3. Do your homework on the body of water. Check out the maps of the lake or river so you can have a basic understanding of the shoreline and depths. 4. Ask for help from others on this forum. You will recieve a lot of good advice from the guys who fish where the tournament will be held. Please contact your boater so you can fish parallel with him. For instance, if you want to pitch a Senko around docks and the boater wants to fish crankbaits, guess who is going to go fast by the docks? Guess who is at a distinct disadvantage if he is throwing a Senko as he goes by the docks? So maybe you throw a crankbait or a spinnerbait since you will be going fast looking for the fish and hold off on the Senko until later in the day. Being a non-boater can be frustrating but it is a learning experience. Good luck and as always, let us know how you do.

Chad, Never heard of anyone trying to patch holes in their vinyl seats so I have no idea. However, maybe a car repair shop can give you some help with the product you need to purchase to patch the pin holes. I would think any company that sells vinyl or repairs vinyl can help you.

A trailer hook on a frog? Interesting. I put a trailer hook on a topwater frog but not one that I plan to fish over or through the grass. Have caught bass with a trailer hook on a topwater frog. The trailer hook seems to help with my hook-up ratio when fishing frogs.

Nope. Nope, too boring. Making home made scents is fun and it can drive the wife crazy! May I suggest pure silicone in the spray can to condition your line? It works just like the expensive KVD product. Give it a try.

To answer your query, we all know that Lucky Craft makes exceptional lures. As for Jackall, I am sure their baits are just as good, but for me, I will stick with the Lucky Craft brand. Now, on the football side of the coin, the Colorado game in Shreveport will be a good game and I hope the Tide can win. I will enjoy watching the game and since I always pull for the SEC teams I will be supporting Bama in this one. Keep fingers crossed for good weather. North Louisiana weather can be awful this time of year. And now go out and help the economy and buy around $500 of Lucky Craft lures. ;D

Numbers = Income. Great article, stated very clearly and professionally. This is why we no longer have the Rose Bowl, Suger Bowl, Orange Bowl, etc. We now have the Toilet Cleaner Independence Bowl; the Jock Itch Fiesta Bowl; the Eat More Chicken Bowl; etc. And why Allstate pays to have their logo on the extra point and field goal netting at various college stadiums. The secret is to be seen and to have your sponsor's names be seen. What's so funny is that although I know this is an advertising gimick I still look at our pros fishing shirts to see who is sponsoring them. And does it matter? Yes it does. For instance, when Ike lost Ranger Boats I forgot about Ranger Boats. I now like Bass Cat, which was a boat I had no interest in what so ever. Money talks and free advertising to the masses is what it is all about.

I would have suggested calling your local BPS but when I tried no one came to the phone. I guess they were busy in the fishing department. Have you tried their on-line catalog? Sorry, but it looks like you will just have to call and stay on hold unless you can drive to a BPS or get lucky and have someone answer the fishing department's phone. Good luck.
