Catt, Agreed. Terrible play calling. But...if LaFell catches TD pass Tigers are up 31-14 and game over. If UK doesn't throw that long pass at end of first half leading to TD to cut score to 17-14, game over. Where was Perry Lou? I hate to say it, but UK was more mentally prepared and I think Miles and his staff were out coached. I look for the Tigers to run the table with big wins starting with Auburn this Saturday and continuing through the SEC Championship game.

Catt, Being realistic, it would have been almost impossible for LSU to go undefeated. Now that they have lost a game, the pressure is off to remain undefeated and the team can go back to basics and play hard. If we play either Kentucky or South Carolina in the SEC Championship game we will kill them. If we play Florida it could be a good game with the Tigers coming out on top. Don't fret. LSU is still on target for the BCS game in the Superdome.

Nope, have not used them. Only $20 lure is my topwater RICO which is excellent. Please let us know how the lure performs and if it is productive. $20 is a lot to pay for a lure, unless it is a RICO.

I use pink as you can see it easliy. It is great to see the bass actually suck in the worm as you tweek it through the grass or on top of the water. The trick worm is a fun bait and it produces strikes. I was apprehensive when I first started to use the pink ones but they work and they are easy to see, especially when the bass takes them. Give the pink ones a try and let us know how you do.

My wife is from Penna and her relatives leave the doors open most of the time, with no worry about anyone entering their home. Now that you know there is a predator in your area may I suggest a central alarm system? You can put the alarms on your doors and set it to "stay" when you are in the house and "away" when you leave the premises. No dog; no gun; just a lot of ear bruising noise if anyone tries to enter the dwelling via the doors. Of course, you will have to change your lifestyle and keep the windows closed and locked. The "central station" alarm will call the local police, automatically. Thank goodness all is OK with your family. What a terrible scare.

Zona always seemed to be sincere but at the same time full of himself by virture of being placed in a position of "power" and not earning it like the bass pros and mechanics. I am going to Lowe's today to purchase 10 to 12 large size three-foot dowels and then cut down some brush in the woods behind my house and bring the items to my local pond which is very, very low. I am going to hammer the dowels around the pond's shoreline and place the brush under two or three docks. With the water so low I can do this easily. Do you guys have any other suggestions regarding what types of structure and cover I could place in the pond at this time? Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Crankit, Even though the Alumn Assn. is in Arizona they know people in Arkansas. They also may know who fishes or who lives in the area where you will be fishing. Mitch, Have you contacted the Arkansas Federation to make a request on their site or by sending a request to the clubs that have e-mail? They may be able to help you. Have you checked with your Alumni Association on campus to find out if they know of any ASU alumni that are bass fishermen? Call or go by their office and ask. Good luck.

Monday, October 08, 2007 Went to the LSU-Florida game. What a heart-stopper. Super seats on the LSU side 35 yard line. I am getting too old for these types of games. One of the best games I have seen in Tiger Stadium going back to our 10-7 win over Ole Miss when the Rebs were #2 in the polls. I met James Carville; went fishing in the Biloxi Marsh and caught many beautiful reds and speckled trout and two sheepheads and two drum; got thrown out of Tiger Stadium by the State Police at midnight as the stadium was closing; snuck into the Club Section in the stadium and got free drinks and food; saw the LSU alumni gang and ate once again; attended a tailgate that was out of this world; saw the ESPN Game Day in the AM and then on the way back to the car after midnight; got to tour the ESPN Game Day bus; saw Mike VI and found my brick by his habitat; ate a free breakfast at the Lod Cook Hotel; had Coach Larry Jones (coached with Dietzel and McClendon and the 1958 National Championship team) autograph my LSU Perfect Season book where his name is mentioned; ate four outstanding poboys plus fried shrimp and an out-of-this world crab casserole; toured a 946 foot Merchant Marine cargo ship; got photo taken with Andrew Whitworth of the Cinncy Bengals; ran into General Richard of TAF and spoke with him for a few minutes (he was in school with me); walked my fanny off all over campus fighting the 170,000 crazies and their dogs; got my Saban is a ****** tee-shirt and sticker for the car for the November game; and had great flights to and from New Orleans/Richmond. NOLA is still a disaster and I cannot see it ever coming back in my lifetime. One of my crazy friends told me his story about him trying to outrun a NOPD patrol car in his garbage truck after Katrina. He almost made it to the parish line but they set up a ro*** on him about six blocks from the line. They took him to the Greyhound Bus Station and placed in under arrest. He got out of it as he knew the judge and DA. Trying to get back into the groove today but it is hard. Looking forward to hitting the fresh water, soon. Later Sam

A white Senko. I have not thrown a white Senko in three years. I will give it a try at my local pond. The fish in the pond are hitting in-line spinnerbaits. Caught three yesterday on the in-line spinners. They don't seem interested in any Senkos, jerkbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits or plastics. I'll give that white Senko a try. Thanks for sharing and giving us old guys another suggestion to consider.

My goodness. Way too much stuff to list. Jerk Bait, The same thing happened to me last month at one of my client's ponds in Maryland. I had thrown the 5 inch Senko wacky style along the shoreline and was reeling it fast along the bank and then through some mukcy grass to recast when a small bass hit it. I don't know who was more surprised. Me or the fish. Small one, under one pound. But he did hit it and he hit it hard. Glad to know this has happened to another person.

Lucky, Read the exclusions in the policy and decide if this is the case. Sometimes the lower level claims people will tell you stuff that may not be correct. If this is the case, you purchased coverage that was not proper cosidering your situation. READ YOUR POLICY'S EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS - both the Progressive and Kentucky Farm Bureau's contracts. It is not a hard document to read. If you have questions or concerns then ask your agent or another insruance agent to get their input and advice. And double check any homeowners contract you may have either as a homeowner or a renter for personal property coverage. Man, I hate when this happens to anyone.

Great bunch of surprises this weekend. Now the Texas-OU matchup and the LSU-Florida game have tremendous amounts of importance attached to them. Either the Horns or Sooners are totally out of the BCS Championship picutre and Florida needs a big with in Tiger Stadium to stay in the hunt. LSU needs to put Florida away so they can play South Carolina in the SEC Championship game and keep Auburn at bay. With 85 scholarships allowed there is a lot of parity in the NCAA. The games should really become more interesting as we get deeper into the season. Hey, even K-State won. And Kentucky. And Maryland. And Satan lost another one. Where are those "phantom" pass interference calls when you need them? I am keeping to my prediction of LSU-Cal in the BCS National Championship game. Of course, we have seven and eight games to go so anything can happen. Geaux Tigers!

You did fantastic. Thanks for the pics. I threw a 1/4 blue/black with a blue/black pork trailer this afternoon at my local pond and caught one. He hit it good, too. I guess the jig and pig bite is back.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is like being invaded when others enter your domain and take your possessions. A few suggestions: 1. Do not set up a booby-trap with a claymore mine to knock them out in the future even though you would love to do this. It is illegal and you will be in more trouble than the undertaker discussing hair styles with the perks' suvivors. 2. Check with your boat insurance company and find out if it is possible to increase the Equiometn and Accessories limit to a higher amount. I increased my limit to $3,500 to cover the electronics and fishing tackle on the boat. 3. Consider investing in those lock bars to cover the compartments. 4. Lock your compartment covers. 5. Or, you can practice some risk management and store all of your tackle and baits in the house and put them on the boat when you leave home in the AM. It does take some time and it is a pain but you will avoid the pure loss exposure. 6. Remember, a thief's enemies are sound, light and time. Sound from any type of alarm you place in the boat; light from a flood light; and the time it takes to steal the items. I am planning to purchase one of those motel door alarms that sound off when they are moved. Just place it inside a compartment or on top of the compartment and if it moves it will sound the alarm. Actually, after rereading all of the above I vote for the claymore mine option. I doubt the local law enforcement will be successful in retrieving your lost items. They have more important issues to address and only if they "stumble" onto your stuff will you hear from them. Anyone could have seen your boat coming or going or noticed it in your back yard when they were working in the area. I doubt the true fishermen would have done such a thing and I would think the crime would have been committed by adults since most teenagers have no use for fishing. By now the equipment is probably all over the place with the perks giving it away to their friends. Sad situation to say the least.
