Hunter19 if your happy with your Hoyt don't get rid of it. Hoyt makes a good bow. I just like to rib people a little about there bows. I didn't care for the Hoyt's I have messed with but I never ownend one. Just played around with it in the shop. If you add it all up final expense with every thing or atleast it was for me $1200 dollars is alot of dough to lay out. It was a thousand but I have invested in a couple more things for it. If your bow is working good and your happy maybe hold off a while. Me I had to my bow was ten years old and outdated. Still shot good and all but it would have been hard to get new strings made for it and parts now that it is so old. But if you do decide to get a new Mathews you won't be disapointed at all. Make sure you research and shoot all there bows and then make a decision. I like Mathews alot but also try out Bowtech they have some good ones too. Any ways I hope you do convert over to the Dark Side we look foward to haveing you. Check out the mathews forums if you have the time.

I just ordered my bow today. I got the Drenalin instead of the DXT. I wasn't sure I wanted that short of a bow. Everything except the rest which is on order and including a half dozen of arrows cost me just a little under a grand.

That bad is it. I don't have a boat so I haven't seen any ramp screw ups.

This was the main reason we got out of the business. Our last few years we contracted with Phillp Morris and got a great price. Once we saw what it was going to sell for post-quota, we weren't going to make enough to justify it. That said, dad and I have kicked around the notion of growing an acre just for old time's sake. Alot of guys up here that hung up the tobacco setter have converted there farms into hunting farms we don't have any wild game birds hardly at all in my part of the state other than turkey and alot of people pay to hunt the pheasants and quail raise your own birds they buy them and you turn em loose and they go after them. or built lakes and raise fish to sell maybe you might give it a try seems to be working here

I bought my first truck working in tobacco, well it was my main source of income in high school. I used to do it daylight to dark alot of times. I thought I was retired from it untill I got married and my father in law still raises it. He only has a acre which is a hell of a lot less than what I was used to. My brother in law whines and complains and downright throws a hissy fit when he has to help. He thinks a acre is huge. I told him wait until you get in a feild where you can't see the end of the row then you can complain. We just took it to the warehouse last week. My father in law got $1.45 a pound. Thats sad. Gone are the days of two and two ten a pound

Well put it to you this way when I did shoot it I actaully spooked myself because it was so quiet and no kick what so ever I didn't realize I shot it until the arrow hit the target. It's amazeing. You can't even feel it shoot. Smooth on the draw and and smooth on the take off. I shot the Dren to and it's about the same too. Really I am back and fourth on these two bows there that close or IMO they are.

In a way I think it's neat but I have to say just leave the birds and the bees to mother nature and The Big Man upstairs. There the experts let them decide not us. If they do happen to bring a few back well then I guess I know what I'll be hunting with my new bow. Just finding someone to mount it.

Going tuesday to order a new mathews DXT. I have decided to stick with my current drop away rest QAD haven't yet decieded on sights just yet. Arrows will probally be Carbon express. I just went and bought a new release tonight and a range finder.

Yep I agree I couldn't give a rats rear end less about any sports let alone the superbowl. You could give me tickets to the best seats there and I would hock them on E-bay to some moron who's willing to go in dept just to see a bunch of overpayed drug addicts and criminals make more millions for themselves. Hopefully this is true. I read on a another forum that this will be 24/7 hunting and fishing. Which means no more panning for gold or morons flipping there trucks over trying to climb rocks.
