  1. For the Record I predict that by Nov 08 we will see fuel prices around $4.50 to $4.80 a gal for unleaded and diesal hovering really close to $5.00 a gal. Basically just wanted to put it down somewhere so I could say I said it back in the spring.
  2. The local triple A said that we can expect gas to jump another 25 cents to 50 cents a gallon if not more throughout the summer. Looks like the temp won't be the only thing high.
  3. What is 'affordable'? Use some common sense and you tell me
  4. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/MellodyHobson/story?id=1040222&page=1 Thought some might like reading this or some may hate it who knows. Pay atten to the date the story was written
  5. Unless fuel prices drop down to a affordabel level then I don't think your going to see anything turn around. As long as fuel remains high and getting higher then it's going to get worse. Imagine if fuel and it will hit $5 a gallon I'm sure. Imagine fuel at that price and we have another round of hurricanes just think how much it will cost then
  6. One thing is for sure with high fuel prices I'm sure you can get some good deals on boats and diseal trucks. Just have to park them for a while. Sad part is payments would probally be cheaper than monthly operating expenses
  7. Actually it's wrong in couple of ways.
  8. I know how you feel man. My brother and I had a dog while we where growing up and he grew up with us and after we left the home nest he stayed with my parents. My brother lived next door so it made it easier for him but he didn't get to see me as much. I miss that dog I don't think I will ever have another one anything close to him. He was a true friend. You wouldn't think that about a animal but they have a way of getting in your heart. I also think what makes it still bother me is the fact that he was a part of my childhood, teenage years, and lived for a long time into my adult life. It's the memorys that thinking about him bring back and how fast time really goes. I don't think I will ever be attached to another pet as I was with him agin. I really don't know what to say because there isn't anything to say it's hard.
  9. Did you happen to hear how much the crew of the early dawn pay was for catching brown crab was. I think that was the name of the boat I don't remember them last year, Anyway they caught 1.9 million dollars worth of brown crab maybe it was red don't remember and each member of the crew get 90,000 dollars. And now there off to join the rest of the fleet for the red crab season. I'm curious to see if the make there quota how much they will get from that as well. Thats alot of money but it's all hard earned
  10. No doubt that snap on are good tools but man they are proud of them. I just don't see them being all that for the average joe.
  11. I'm actually thinking about getting Kolbalt or SK. I don't mind craftsman tools they do fine I have some already but need to expand more. Your right about snap on I don't care what anyone says if anyone is stupid enough to pay $ 1200 dollars for 34 wrenches then they have some mental issues that need some atten. They are building a Harbor freight here soon. I will check them out but I don't plan on buying much there as far as tools are concearned. I don't want to go in debt buying tools but I don't want cheapy's that break when I need them not to.
  12. I have been wanting to start buying more tools here latelty so I will have everything I need to to work on whatever needs fixing. I have a nice garage and have alot of power tools already. I just bought a craftsman tool box. I just bought the top section and in couple of weeks will buy the other two sections. I got a catalog from sears and started to look at the tools I wanted. Wow it's amazeing how much they want for these things. I can't in my life see what makes them so expensive. It dosen't really matter what brand there all high unless you get some el cheapo version that might last a couple of months. I guess I'm just going to have to buy a little here and there.
  13. Thats the best one I've heard for a long time.
  14. Your actually not the first business owner I have heard say that. While I condone the hiring of illegals I can see where your coming from as well.
  15. Well considering the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised when the whole map is green. It' pretty much getting that way now. Can't go anywhere any more without a bunch of illegals all over the place.
  16. I watch it myself. I think it's interesting. They have a rough job thats for sure. The economy is starting to take it's toll on them as well. Not surprising since the new houseing market took a dump
  17. Allthough I bleed green, I liked the video and I hate seeing them tear down that factory. If it was me and I owned it being the historical kind of person that I am I would turn it into a museum and learning center. The people and that factory have had so much of a impact of our nations farming ithat it's a crime IMO to tear it down. So much history gone.
  18. I really could give a rats hairy rear end about post counts myself. If someone has something that interesting or something I can offer advice or a opinion on then I post something. I rarely if ever pay attention to there status.
  19. I say quit atten seeking and move on with it. If you haven't done nothing wrong then don't worry about it. The mods and glenn will set you straight if you have done something.
  20. Believe me, they're not watching out for you. They just want to make sure they're going to get paid. x2 I like the fact that I don't have any cc and don't have to worry about it
  21. Alot of people would be better off if they would take the advice of Dave Ramsey. He definatly has it togather
  22. Easiest way to correct that problem is pay for it with a money order and then you don't have to worry about it. If they can't take a money order then oh well I don't need it. It's stupid not to take one it's money just the same as paypal just takes a day or two. Postal money orders are the best if someone messes with them they get to deal with the government. They can keep pay pal.
  23. I think also that our society is so far in debt it's pathetic. People now buy for want not need. Everywhere you look people have 6 or 7 credit cards with high balances. Alot have home's they can't afford and should have never been given the loan for to begin with. 2 new cars sitting in the driveway that probally wasn't even needed but had to keep up with the jones It seems like credit is given away like candy nowadays and where feeling the effects of it. Coupled with high fuel most people don't have any money to spend other than on there bills, and apprantly some can't do that
  24. Well I can say the dairy farmers aren't getting rich. There going in the hole as well.
