Since that door was opened, when I was new to this forum I posted pics of me in my kitchen about to clean a few fish including one that was over 5 pounds. I had a few comments saying that I should have thrown it back. After thinking it over I decided I'd rather catch them and throw them back to catch another day. Call it big picture thinking. anyhow if someone hadn't enlightened me to put them back think of the hundreds of fish that wouldn't be able to be caught I see nothing wrong with advising someone to put fish back to preserve our sport... What they want to do with that advise is purely up to them By the way that's a great fish and will make a great mount, post pics after it's mounted.

IMHO, throw it out! LOL Seriously every time I've tried to cook it it was muddy tasting mushy fish. I know others that love it but they have yet to invite me over for dinner. The best way I've fixed it was to filet it and fry it but it has a ton of bones! I've also tried smoked and broiled/baked... Not my cup of tea :-/

If we end up doing Thursday night tournaments. I'd let you fish with me during one of them.
