  1. I'm not from mid tn and haven't fished Preist but I have fished Dale Hollow. It's extremely clear and has some good spots in it. It was several years ago and I fished in winter using float n fly, from what I hear they do a lot of night fishing in summer. My guess it's due to boat traffic and water clarity. It's not much but all I got. Good luck on your move.
  2. You might want to look at Dixie Custom Rods, btw they use batson blanks. I don't own one but might in the future. There are options out there. Good luck in college.
  3. If I wasn't JACKED before I am NOW
  4. That is the way I was leaning. Will try to get an IMX for my blades. I'm not wealthy by any means but my fishing time is hard to come by. So I want to make the most of what I get

  13. According to the experts, that leaves me out, that the fnf is intended for water temp. 50 & below with clear water a plus. It is intended to imitate dying baitfish. Yes it will work with LM & spots or any fish suspended. Find the right depth, usually 8-12'. I fished Dale Hollow last yr. with Bob Coan & caught SM, spots, trout & bluegill & saw a nice LM fall to it as well. Hope this helps.
  14. Cable, less things to go wrong & easy to fix if it does. I use constant on some, mostly fighting wind or current & on long days fatigue.
  15. My two great aunts one of whom was an old maid. They were of Scotch/Irish desent & never threw anything away or bought anything they could make. So I learned to fish with a cane pole, but does this bring back fond memories. Thanks for the topic
  16. Chris is right they just move slower. Two days ago while at work, I work for a RR,ugh...but we had gotten a light snow the night before & by that afternoon I saw crawfish moving around. It could have been because of high water, beavers dammed a couple of culverts. Also a word of warning, I stepped on a cottonmouth & saw several more. It opened my eyes.. literally!
