How Do I Remember What Line Is On My Reel?
I tried the stickers and labels...... they always came off. and really it you have technique specific rods you can remember by what you have tied on. or I have been able too and I use 8-25#

Screen Names
I want to know SPEEDBEAD. early I thought he might have been a welder, hence he can lay a bead with quickness..and it would fit with him being from PA ... then I found that not to be true. Now I am leaning to the rifle/shotgun sight know as a speedbead. so I think Mr Speedbead. needs to come clear it up for all of us....

Back Reeling
there are some ole timers around where I live that swear by backreeling.... I personlly dont get it as I figure my ci4 has a good enough drag when set properly.

Need A Rod
there are a lot of rods in that price range..... but i cant help you on most of them. one rod I have used and I would say is the BPS carbonlite. if it is for spinnerbaits and jerkbaits I would get the medium IMO also since you are wanting to throw jerkbaits you could actually get a BPS cranking stick and perhaps still throw spinners on it if you got it stiff enough with a good tip. I would probably just stick with the carbonlite....... BPS probably has them on sale this week for the classic and most times they have them marked down to $80, and you cant beat that.

10 Lb. Braid - Tough Enough For Finesse Jigs?
in more open than not water, I think It will be fine for the 5/16 but not the 7/16 so if you want to throw both I would go ahead and step it up. more than anything I am not sure that med rod is going to like a 7/16 jig either. JMO

Terrova And Bracket Are Shipped And Headed My Way!
I stand corrected.......... when did they come out with that? I could swear they didn't have that when I got my last terrova, cause there was a big debate trying to find a sliding bracket.

- Terrova And Bracket Are Shipped And Headed My Way!
no, it is a skeeter bracket to tell the truth (I think) MK does not have a sliding bracket that I am aware of, only a quick release to take complety off when you stow it looks like a normal TM when you deploy it slides forward 6-7 inches to produce the needed overhang. I just call grandpajoes and tell them I want the sliding terrova bracket. The sliding bracket is a MUST have if you own a terrova, IMO it is a must have- Terrova And Bracket Are Shipped And Headed My Way!
its the only reason that brought me back.- Fishing Glasses?
Costa will make you RX in your lenses of choice in the 400g or 580g any sunglass maker that has glass lenses should be able to....... plastic lenses IDK.- Terrova And Bracket Are Shipped And Headed My Way!
whoops, I thought I posted this in the boat section- Fishing Glasses?
have you tried transitions lenses?- Anyone Here Ever Win A Boat Or A Truck In A Drawing From These Companies?
I wonder how many folks play the powerball? I never knew anybody that won that either, but I know someone does.- Terrova And Bracket Are Shipped And Headed My Way!
well I have decided to go back to a Minnkota Terrova. this time I got the 112 Terrova with ipilot link.... excited to get back to my spot lock, even more excited to make the jump to Lakemaster, since they have lakes I fish in HD now. I am really looking forward to the follow the contour feature! I always get a sliding terrova bracket from Grampajoes in MN. Helps immensely on install and do not have the dreaded "terrova hang over" on the front. looking to get it put on this weekend...... I am so ready to start fishing this spring- Fishing Glasses?
costa 580 glass..........end thread, no more discussion needed. ha ha....... really though, try several, cause many people's eyes react and view different through different lenses.... Costa, cocoons, ect ect all make good glasses with many people liking them. I do prefer the Costa Del Mar.- If You Were Going To Buy Yourself A Baitcaster And Rod Pretend Money Is No Object
already have it: Dobyns DX paired with a Core 50. anything more expensive is wasting money, LOL.- Lake Baccarac Lodge On Fire!!!
hopefully he can sell Jeffro on it too. hell I am wanting to go next January just so I can throw it!!!!!!!!- What Do You Guys Eat While Fishing?
HA! I just now saw this thread...... and it is true, I eat good on the water, and am always prepared for meeting an army of folks that may be hungry. Ham and cheese sandwiches , pringles, saltine crackers, ritz crackers, peanut butter, chili cheese fritos, rice crispy treats, slim jims/cheese packs, beef jerky assorted nuts, peanuts, almonds ect , goldfish crackers, snickers, twix, paydays,....oh yeah, Nutter butters! and those little grandmas crème cookie sandwiches(love those), and sometimes a variety of little debbies.... I try not to do a bunch of chocolates cause the melt and don't keep well in a boat. and at least a 12 pack of Diet Cokes in the cooler and another in storage. there you have it.......Needham's on the water buffet ... subject to change by season and how many times kids have been in my boat!!- The Mount Rushmore Of Pro Bass Fishermen?
I understand that........but ........ when you say Mt. Rushmore, I am thinking founders, trailblazers, profound members that formed the sport into what it is...... just like the Presidents on the mountain. I just think older........... granted KVD has more than enough "weight" to be included, but perhaps there are some real trailblazing old timers that propelled the sport to the point where KVD even had a chance to fish 20 years ago. IDK cause I am too young to know the early stages of the sport. that said I don't think we can discount Buck Perry (comes to mind) and those like him to "auto-included" a modern hero, and even still I think KVD could be a great 4th- The Mount Rushmore Of Pro Bass Fishermen?
IMO Clunn is a lock..........the other 3 is a big argument. - Terrova And Bracket Are Shipped And Headed My Way!
