  1. maybe nit pick but I dont believe the quoted text... faster draw can be debated Larger caliber is somewhat true..... but I have never seen a 1911 that has the mag capacity of a Glock 19, or even glock21 for that matter. the rest of the article is a good read.
  2. I dont doubt it...... he even said on stage he used the dt6; "cause sometimes we have to use another companies bait to get the job done. " I dont think he is going to throw his sponsor under the bus, but at the same time he does not seem like a guy that will striaght out lie either. especially given the fact he already stated the DT6. I am probably just too trusting, Howell does seems different though....... I would trust him before I would KVD (call me crazy)
  3. or a HOF without Pete Rose............. whoops can o worms blew open..... nevermind.
  4. microsoft word....... type everything in that, then cut and paste. use the thesaurus to jazz it up some if you would like. do that for a few days. for vobaulary, do crossword puzzles. I fall prey to it as well, I ramble and type like I talk sometimes. But then again, this is a message board not a report to home office. I am fairly careful in reports to mind my P&Qs and cross my ts and dot the I.
  5. I feel for Mueller..... if he cathces 4 fish instead of 3 the first day he wins. hats off to Howell for sure.
  6. you know its really hard to tell.... mere ounces really, but no official measurement or weight. While 00Mod's is a quality combo, my fish came on a football head with an Owner deep throat hook rigged with a strike king coffee tube on my DOBYNS DX 744 and LEWS TP spooled with 15# Seaguar Tatsu, to which the fish stood no chance whatsoever due to the extreme power provide not only by the rod but the smootness of the Boca Bearings in my reel. the hawgtech handle exceeds any handle I have seen, for sure. so yes, Congrats to 00Mod for the slim miniscule victory, but victory none the less.
  7. he spoke about it last night in his press conference...... 7 foot and 7'2foot tatula rods.... might have been tatula reels as well (cant remember the reel) they were however 6.3:1 ratios. best I can recall..... the dt6 was thrown on a 7foot Med light 12# line (cant rememebr brand, check his sponsors)..... and the livingston 8-10foot runner was thrown on a 7'2 medhvy. cant remember line for this combo the chatterbait was also on a 7'2 rod cant remmeber but it might have been MH too, I THINK it was 16-17# line. look on bassmaster.com and see if they have his press conference still up.

  9. thanks God....... I can sleep at night! lmao
  10. I guess I heard something different. He caught them early on the DT6 then they moved deeper and he started culling with the livingston since they were moved and the livingston ran deeper (8-10ft) he also caught the 6 pounder off the dock on a Yamamoto Chatterbait
  11. yea, he caught early on the DT6.........but switch to the Livingston later when they moved off some and went to culling. the 6# off the dock was caught on a chatterbait.
  12. US Opens and PGA Championship have been held at Torry Pines, Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black, Pinehurst, Whistling Straits. Those are just courses off the top of my head........ you can also play the entire British Open rotation....... and don't forget all the TPC courses......all listed courses you can play off the street, granted you have to make a tee time 6 months or year in advance cause they are busy, but normal average Joe's can play them anytime. just saying
  13. false .......... Bethpage black is part of a state park. but public or private water there is NO EXCUSE for what is going on at this years classic........and people wonder why fishing doesn't grow?
  14. I cant believe the stupid locals are down there spot burning with Arigs........ its unbelievable. sure go over there and graph it, even drop a waypoint...... but to roll up and fish it is just being a complete and utter Dbag. I sincerely hope the people doing any form of spot burning get a rusty hook in the eye!!!!!
  15. I live too close to Raider to make fun of him.........so good luck to you!
  16. hard to believe but rumors say its true.
  17. it seems kinda of daunting the first time out but its not if you get there early on wends just fish where ever you want to.... when you come in, you will see everyone milling around the cabins, just introduce youself to the first person you see and they will help get you squared away. Last year, I had talked to my roommate prior and we meet at the hotel that morning.....fished all day and when we came in we said "we better go find the group" . also once you get you form in I am sure you can Long Mikes or someones cell number to call once you get checked in your cabin. its really not a big deal, when you show up it all magically falls into place.
  18. better question is what is your favorite " one word"er" on the lake........ I normally don't compete an entire line, just one solid good word.
  19. I guess it cost an arm or a leg to ship huh?
  20. I swear I have argued more over this Classic than I did the last election..... the weekend ought to be FUN to watch
  21. Good Luck.......smallmouth are know to carry suitcases.
