  1. There are actually people doing just that here in GA and several other southern states. Thing is I've yet to hear of any teener as a result, and its a deal delicate balance, but folks are trying. http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9631#Post9631 NGaHB
  2. Im with Mod on this. You should have seen the first "8# bass" I caught... more like a 5 Either way its awesome. Any bass over 5# top water is a real rush NGaHB
  3. Thanks for the kind words guys. Fish Chris- I've messed around with trying to hide the spot without the blurr, but the blurr lets me sleep at night Deep Jig- I use a Cardiff 301. I have used 400 sized before, but I can get a hudd out as far as I can toss it and have PLENTY of line left on there. I use 25# CXX. If you dont change out your line every couple of trips then you might want to go with a 400, but I like to change it out every other trip and the drastic size diff between a 300 and a 400 makes the 300 a must have for me. Thanks again guys NGaHB
  4. You know I love the hudd man, its what I fish 90% of the time. But I recently got a trout from Real Prey and Im real impressed. Ive put some time into it, but just got the fall rate and rigging setup how I want it. I have no doubt tho that those fish will go for a hudd, there a serious magic bait. NGaHB
  5. Its hard to beat Power Pro. I've never done the anti twist behind the boat, but I have done it in the river and it works well and only takes a minute or two
  6. I would be really surprised if it isnt extremely overpopulated. If it wont upset whoever owns it, you would prob do well to keep most every bass under 3 pounds you catch for a good while. I've never checked out pondboss.com, going to right now. I do know that there are some articles here on BR that go over the topic too. NGaHB
  7. If your looking to throw swimbaits you might want to check out realprey, their golden shiner bait would most likely trick a bass use to eating shiners NGaHB
  8. Seems like somewhat of a grey area to me. I would assume sanctuaries means government designated preserve areas or something. I sent them an email, well see what they say about it. NGaHB
  9. I never have been able to find this is the IGFA rules, tho I have seen people say the same thing many times. Anyone have any links? NGaHB
  10. The fish are alot easier to find, and not as smart. But its still fishing and still fun. I wouldnt hesitate to fish them, I always enjoy a farm pond, but I wouldnt go showing pictures like I was the bees knees. NGaHB
  11. It'll sound crazy, but I'd go with an 8" rainbow trout colored Hudd. Not alot of bites, but quality fish. Now if I was hungry, and expected to be that way for a while, then I'd get about 10#s of senkos and go to bed full. NGaHB
  12. Thanks guys, I was really happy to break the dry spell. Much less with such a solid fish. NGaHB
  13. I've fished a 68 for a while. They kick hard, so much that they make the entire bait wag. I think they are a good enough bait, but anywhere I was confident there were 7# bass or larger I wonldnt touch the 68 and opt for an 8". Looking back I should have sold the two 68s I had before I snagged them and bought 4 8" hudds. NGaHB
  14. Awesome story, sound like my recent outings to a tee. I'm glad to see that color hudd will catch a fish, Ive got one of the same and I've yet to get any confidence in it. I also like your rigging, I run my treble farther back similar to yours. keep up the good work! NGaHB
  15. Ive tried to stop myself. I switched to dip, yea i know not much better, but i went from a pack and a half a day for 5 years to a can every three days. Its inspiring to hear everyones success stories, I just threw out the can and hope it lasts. NGaHB
  16. not sure how big my little bottle is, but I found it for $2 at Dicks on sale. Keep an eye out guys NGaHB
  17. Killin em man, I've got to get on some brown fish sometime NGaHB
  18. Those are some healthy fish! NGaHB
  19. Congrats man, thats awesome! NGaHB
  20. You've got a keen eye my friend NGaHB
  21. Well after somewhat of a dry spell, 18+ hours with no fish, I finally got one to commit today. Caught on a 8" Hudd, water temp in the 60s, air temp in the 50s. She went 12.5 Keep on chunkin and windin guys! NGaHb
  22. Very cool. I want to get up to some smallies and see if I can catch some on a swimbait NGaHB
  23. I spend 99% of my time with a Hudd, but I just got a 10" Trout from Joe at Real Prey that I have put some time in with. I put in about 3 hours today, but got agitated and switched to the hudd and managed to stick a slob. But in time I'll get one on the Real Prey, its got it all goin right, as far as swim and all goes. Going to get a new rod that will handle it better then put some serious time in with it. NGaHB
  24. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11414694 You can make a pair look like that or just get a pair.
  25. I have caught more fish on my 4'6" Ugly Stick UL than all my other rods included, Its gatta take 1st place. NGaHB
