Open your eyes
Sight fished my PB 8 lb 1 oz bass in Iowa fishing a Storm Mid-Wart as a top water. Made a cast, saw the monster coming off the bank and twitched it along the top only to watch her come over and smack it. Still have the lure hanging in my garage.

Iowa Hammers!
Wow, extremely impressive. I’m in Nebraska and those are studs for this area. Public lake?

Gas treatment
I’ve got 2 snowblowers that would strongly disagree. Marine Stabil whenever I put gas in and err on the side of slightly too much. A very small investment for a much larger one.

Got the boys out for some stocker trout before the 40 degree temps did them in. Caught 3 and got the “biggest one in the city”.

Crankbait Storage Made Easy
I can get way more cranks in a regular 370 box with rubber bands holding the trebles together; no tangles. Best option I’ve found.

Garmin / Panoptix Question
I’m buying the Livescope for my dad as a retirement present. I have Humminbird electronics now so Garmin is completely new to me. I understand I need to buy the Livescope transducer but am completely confused by everything else. Can someone help me with which screen to buy? I want at least a 9” screen, compatible with Livescope and would really like to be able to make my own maps. Hope that make sense and appreciate any help.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
I got my first boat in July of 2015 and have also made it a goal to catch at least one fish every month of the year. 2 kids and Nebraska winters haven’t stopped my yet. November and February are the toughest months but still going strong.

Which lures would you pick?
I’d ask for a gift card; then you can get what you want and pick the color too. I wouldn’t dare try and guess what my wife would want for the things she likes to buy.

Y'all Turkey Hunt
More important than the type of call is getting covered up. I’d suggest getting a ground blind to cover up all of your movements. You can then use any kind of call you want. The box and slate calls are easy to learn as long as your movement is disguised.

Missing the warmer fishing months...
I always thought ice fishing was crazy but honestly, I like it as much if not more than fishing out of my boat and look forward to the first hard freezes every year. Have someone who knows what they’re doing take you out and you might find that you have a whole crap-ton more fishing stuff to buy.

Looks more like cold water bass to me; I seem to get them that color late in the season and right after ice is off.

Anyone "fish" this way?
Believe it or not, but I’ve found if you’re in an area with a lot of frogs chasing your frog, then you’re usually not in a productive bass area.

Lake Baccarac Trip ~ October 2019 ~ (Video)
Can you give a ballpark on price if you’re comfortable doing that and how often you go? Totally jealous here; congrats on this great trip.

What makes Bass fishing different compared to other fishing?
I’m sorry, but it’s pretty ignorant to think that you are more skilled, passionate or determined than the next guy just because you’re fishing for bass and they have live bait trying to catch gills. I’m sure a fly fisherman in a stream with a size 22 midge could say the same about whatever setup you’re throwing for bass. Who cares? There’s enough in this world to worry about besides what another guy is fishing for.

Jig skirt colors
Halloween from Siebert Outdoors is the first jig I ever caught a bass on and is my favorite. I’ve got 3 jig colors in various weights and have a bunch of them instead of going crazy on colors. I have separate colors for swim jugs though. Keep it simple though. If you make a nice presentation in an area where there are bass located, I find it hard to believe that a slight color change would have made a difference.

Is your drag bottomed out; meaning does it need to be tightened? I’m not clearly understanding the issue you’re having.

The worst lure ever?
I’ve caught some nice bass on the Dancin’ Eel. Used to be one of my go to baits until I ran out of them.
