  1. Good thing for them they're usually surrounded by forest on those lakes. Keep a roll of TP in your boat and your set!
  2. What everyone said. Knowledge of the fish they're chasing and adaptability to changing conditions is everything.
  3. Once they see you its over. Don't bother. Same thing was happening to me. I started just making long casts parrallel to the bank. You may not be able to see them but they cant see you. Chuck worms, jigs, poppers, spooks anything really along the bank from afar and you'll have a better chance at getting bit.
  4. X2 Can't go wrong with a white grub on a Beetle Spin. Anything will bite it.
  5. I bring an untra light rod with a tiny inline spinner or grub on a jighead and see what little fish bite!
  6. They found Snakehead in Penn Warner?
  7. Good stuff. Little guy did good!
  8. State-PA Lure/Technique-Cranking a Booya spinnerbait in chatruese/white over 14-15 feet of water. Depth-Caught suspended down about 7 over 14 feet of water Weight-5lbs even Caught at the super secret, classified, honey hole
  9. It was a tough day. Very windy, high pressure and bluebird skies. Still managed 3 small fish. One on a shallow diving crank, one on a Dinger and one on the super shad. Man that thing puts out a TON of flash! I like them! @Blue, yesa i figured they would be great this time of year until after the spawn when theres tons of tiny bluegill around. I think itll work even better once the bluegill start spawning.
  10. Going out right now. Ill let you know how they work!
  11. Anyone ever use these? Theyre the spinnerbaits with 4 willow leaf blades. I imagine they create intense flash. The fish in my local quarry hole absolutely love gold blade spinnerbaits. Just curious if anyone ever had any experience with these.
  12. Yup. trim the skirt the same way I trim my jig and spinnerbait skirts.
  13. Yea same here. They're getting beat up.
  14. Thanks gents. We had our two best days ever the first two days of the season. Broke my PB the first day out! Hopefully its a sign of good things to come.
  15. For me a spinnerbait, Yum Dinger, and jigs are my go to baits. But I have everything in my tackle bag. Crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwater, all sorts of stuff. If Im not getting bit on my go to baits I figure I might as well throw something else. The only way youll get better at them is to use them. Plus you might give them what they want and avoid being skunked.
  16. Up here in Philly theyre in pre spawn mode and we have been slaying them with chartruese spinnerbaits and big half ounce chatruese rooster tails with gold blades.
  17. Thought Id share our first fish of the year. Fished 4 hours last Sunday and 4 hours today. All fish were caught on chartruese spinnerbaits with gold willow blades and half ounce chartruese Rooster Tails with gold blades. They arent giants but for Philadelphia theyre pretty solid fish. Pulled them out of our super secret quarry spot. Joint is filled with quality 3-5 pound fish.
  18. Thought Id share my first few fish of the year. All caught on a chartruese strike king spinnerbait with gold willow blades and chartruese half ounce rooster tails with gold blades as the super secret quarry spot. Joint is filled with quality fish.
  19. Anyone else out there swear by the barometer? Like for me if the barometer is at 29 I'm most likely going to have a great day. If its at 30 most likely ill have a so so day. And if its at 31 I might as well not even go out. For me this holds true most of the time. Anyone else use this method?
  20. I keep my ultra light ugly stick in my trunk so when I'm on lunch and sometimes after work I stop at Pennypack Creek to fish for Trout and Panfish. My question is, does leaving the rod and reel in my trunk in the cold weather have any adverse effects on my gear?
  21. He hasnt fished pro in a long time. He did work back in the day. Love Bill Dance. Also, the reason he constantly catches huge fish is because on his show he fishes private, professionally managed lakes. The fish are big and dumb.
  22. You don't have to worry about having an NJ license to fish Burlingon Island. I did some research and found out that if you're fishing the banks of the Delaware you only needyour license. Like if I were to cross the bridge and go fish a bank on the NJ side my PA license will suffice.
