  1. I always tell myself it doesn't. It's part of the game and yada yada yada but let's all be honest here. It's bothers us all at least a little bit. Lol
  2. Senko. Easily. You can always catch a fish on a Senko. Lol
  3. Don't know what it is. But I do know that fish eggs can be carried on birds feet and such.
  4. Not so much a creature bait as it is a grub but the Yamamoto Fat Ika is amazing!
  5. Strike King KVD 1.5 and 2.5 squarebills and Rapala DT series. Bluegill or baby bass color.
  6. I always bring my 5 foot ultra light ugly stick with 4 pound test with me just in case the bass arent biting I can usually catch a few crappie and bluegill. I use tiny jigheads with little grubs. Caught a 4.2 and a 3.7 on it two weeks ago. Things felt like a freight train! It was an awesome fight. It got me slightly addicted to light line. Lol
  7. We've been getting a lot of rain here too and the fishing has been pretty good. I fish small quarry lakes. The water is stained, not sure how yours is. The cool rain cooled the water down and a lot of fish moved up into the newly flooded areas. The one I fish the stone company that owns it dumps big chunks of concrete in the and makes awesome rip rap. The fish are all up in there. Unweighted Senkos, squarebill crankbaits, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits have been crushing it for me.
  8. Where is this "New Techniques" thread?
  9. The most expensive lure I caught was actually one I found. I was using a deep diving crank and snagged up some line and on the other end was a brand spanking new Live Target crankbait. It was like a 8-9 dollar lure. Not a whole lot of money but it was the most expensive one Ive lost.
  10. Good old Rattle Trap is my personal favorite. Chrome with blue back. I like Red Eye Shads too.
  11. You should use spinnerbait with wire tied skirts too. The rubberband on the cheap ones breaks very easily, especially if a peacock gets a hold of it. Or just do what I do and wire tie them yourself after you buy them.
  12. I like War Eagle and Terminator spinnerbaits. People will tell you to always use a trailer of some sort be is a grub or whatever but I rarely do. I do however use a trailer hook 90% of the time. Unless Im fishing around really snaggy cover. I fish them erratically as possible with pops, twitches and kills every few feet. LOVE ME SOME SPINNERBAIT BASSIN! Thats why the fall and really early spring/late winter and fall fishing are my favorite.
  13. Ever seen the kayak fishing show on WFN? Those guys reel in huge blue marlin and other massive fish and never ever tip over. No bass of any size will tip you over. Theyre a lot more stable than you may think. Yea itll pull you around a bit but there is literally zero chance of a bass tipping you over.
  14. I'm a big fan of the 1.5 and 2.5, and use them a lot. Never had a problem with either. I try and bang them into crap as much as possible and never had a bill crack. Probably just a few defects in a production run.
  15. I play guitar and drums a lot. My hands and finger tips are covered in callouses too. The little pads dont shred up as easy it seems.
  16. Love getting some bass thumb! Means you're catching fish! Now get out there and give em a lip piercing ya PANSY!!!!
  17. Not much you can do. Just the name of the game. I've trick every stick worm I could find, and while there is a few others I like and use, nothing wiggles like a Senko. Look at it this way, if you're losing a lot of Senkos it means you are catching fish!
  18. Apparently his GPS was telling him he was in Wisconsin waters. Thats why he culled. He didnt purposely break the rule. Still i dont think they should fish waters with such silly rules. He was in a flurry of action in that spot. He was catching fish after fish. In the heat of the moment youre supposed to check your gps and make sure ypu cull in proper waters? Silly. Like i said too his gps told him he was in Wisconsin waters.
  19. Ive been using the 1.5 and 2.5 a lot this year. I really like the 2.5 the best. I never have any problems keeping fish pegged.
  20. Gave em a lip piercing.
  21. I always say "Got em" on every hookset. I don't even realize it, it just comes out.
  22. How does the point system work for the Angler of the Year standing for BASS Elite Series? Like hows Ish Monroe is 7th place yet Todd Faircloth, Jason Christie and Keith Combs have straight won events and are below him. Can someone explain to me how the point system works?
  23. Youre problem is in your question. If you can see them then they can see you! Sometimes even if you cant see them they can still see you. Back up away from the bank or go further down and make long casts. Usually once they see you its tough to get em to bite.
  24. Thatsso dumb of a law. You can catch five fish in Minnesota but cant cull. You have to stop fishing. You can leave minnesota waters, cull then go back to fishing in minnesota. His GPS was telling him he was wisconsin. Messed up.
