Defected Line
ive had that happen with 2 spools of line my entire life and it was a spool of big game and seaguar invizx. the line looked good for the first, oh, 10-15 yards and after that, garbage. gave invisx another shot and thought i had a good spool until i reeled down and the hook, nothin, line broke for no apparent reason what so ever. thought maybe it was a bad knot, retied, made sure the knot was top notch and again, same thing. ill never ever ever use seaguar anything again.

Lew's Tournament Mg
thank you. all i use is lews but i know the mg is more or less a "cranking" reel as obvious with the longer handle and deeper spool. i know i can use it for other purposes but just wondering who has and how it performed.

Lew's Tournament Mg
just wondering what technique other than cranking you guys use this model for? lookin to get one friday but not lookin to use it for cranking.

Grass Jig Question
i gotta try some of the swim jigs mentioned in this post. ive been using the dirty jigs california swim jig and i like it a lot. it comes through cover well and doesnt get covered in slop.

Cant Choose For New Heavy
dobyns are good rods but if you want a really balanced, sensitive, and powerful rod, check out cashion rods. phenix makes a great flippin stick also.

Best Trailer According To Cost To Benefit/durability Ratio?
yamamoto double tail grubs. you get 20 for 7 bux and i really never change out trailers the whole day. mend it or loctite super glue gel works great for ripped baits. granted if the claw or whatever is gone you gotta change trailers but thats bound to happen so yea.

Abu Pro Max
so i was at wal mart a bit ago, lookin at their tackle selection and saw the pro max. looked it over turned the handle, all that good stuff. it looks good, and feels really smooth for an 80 dollar reel. i was actually kinda surprised. yea its not a lews tourny ss or a an mgx but for 80 bux it seems like a lot of reel. so im just curious as to who owns/ has used this reel and what your thoughts are on it.

Questions, Suggestions, Opinions, Whatever You Guys Can Offer
lol man this is tougher than i thought. i have noticed the shimano and loomis bias/posse on the forum, nothin wrong with that, people love what they love and shimano and loomis are 2 trusted companies. ill probably get the curado 200E this friday and see whats up with it but not 100% sure just yet.

Questions, Suggestions, Opinions, Whatever You Guys Can Offer
ok so here i go again wanting to try somethin new/newer and different than i usually use. i love my lew's reels, love em, theyre the smoothest, strongest, best casting reels ive ever thrown but i find myself wanting to buy a curado 200. why? idk but i do. so heres where you guys come in, what do you guys think, should i just get one, really put it to the test, and see what all the fuss is about or should i not waste my time?

Cashion Rods Vs. Other Higher End Rods
i have a 7'3" med hvy cashion and absolutely love it for football jigs, and flippin and pitchin. i also have a dobyns champion 735c which is the same length and med hvy rating as the cashion. that bein said, i find i get better hooksets with the cashion than with the dobyns. the dobyns has a pretty soft tip for a med hvy rod and thats the one thing i dont like about it. if i were you, id stick with the cashion. just as good as the dobyns with a smaller price tag.

Looking For A Frog Rod...suggestions?
yea the powell suggestions above are great. you can go with a powell frog rod, 735c. i have the dobyns champion 735c and use it for jigs, plastics, and frogs. ive noticed though that sometimes im unable to really get a good hookset with this rod cus its got a soft tip even when i reel down and blow their eyes out, i dont like that. fish comin off means no fish in the livewell which in turn means not finishing in the money, no bueno. you really cant go wrong with a powell, theyre amazing rods and honestly, a dobyns is just an over priced powell, trust me.

Your Worm(S)?

Best Football Jig Head
yea the yum pumpkin'ed is freakin awesome!!!!!! i also use the nichols screwball head and the megastrike stand up head. these things really do stay upright. its hard to topple it over and even if it does, it stands right back up.

Respooling
when respooling a baitcaster, which way should the line come off the filler spool, clockwise or counter clockwise? i always forget.

Jigs - How, When, What Color, And Where To Fish Them
football jigs: points, gravel beds, humps, ect. colors, i usually only throw brown and variations there of. trailers, most the time its a yamamoto double tail grub. theres been a few threads on this topic, just use the search engine and things will pop up.

Drop Shot Swim Bait
i really dont like fairy wands(spinning rods) but ill use em with 8lb test or less. i have drop shotted on a baitcaster spooled with 10lb sunline sniper fluoro and killed it. no reason why you cant ds with a baitcaster.
