Need Advice On These 4 Reels, Please.
ive got a lews tp on one of my flippin/pitchin stick thats spooled with 50lb braid that i use for sparse cover all the way up to punchin some thick mats. its never given me an issue even when rippin a 7.5 pound hog outta some nasty stuff. im team lews all the way and think if you like the ones you have, get another and dont be afraid to use it for the nasty stuff. one reel i would highly recommend is the ardent f700. this thing is brutal! i know ardent isnt really known for quality but i think this reel is the exception to that. as soon as i get the extra cash, all my flippin sticks are gonna have one of these on em. this reels is the only exception ill make when it comes to reels other than lews.

just curious as to what your guys' favorite jig trailers are and do you have one trailer and color that you use on all your jigs? ive seen guys use the same style trailer and color on every jig thats why i ask.

Just Ordered The Materials I Need To Start Tying Jigs
geez i wish i had that many jigs, id never worry about losin one lol yea my color selection is less than a dozen as well. i like sticking with natural colors, browns, greens, blacks, rusty colors, and combinations of each. the only other 2 colors i use are black/blue and junebug. dont really need much more than that.

Dobyns Champion Series
thanks g3steve. yea your right, id wanna step up to the 766 or better yet the 805 for some punchin. the more i think about it the more i realize i need a dedicated jig rod that i can flip/pitch jigs and plastics with on occasion. i have a rod that can handle punching just fine so im ok in that department for the time being.

Just Ordered The Materials I Need To Start Tying Jigs
thank you =D now do you guys prefer natural colors or a mix? ive seen guys throw some weird combinations of colors so just wondering. the first batch im gonna tie up are gonna be all natural color combinations.

Dobyns Champion Series
my local tackle shop has the 735c and 736c as well as a bunch of other models in the savy, champion, and champion extreme. ive got my hands on the rods im lookin at and they both feel amazing but i think the 735c might be more of what im lookin for.

Just Ordered The Materials I Need To Start Tying Jigs
lol im obsessed. its weird cus im usually a big plastics guy and dont really fish jigs a lot, i dont understand why cus the times ive fished em i caught good fish. just got a wild hair to make a bunch and fish the hell out of them. next time i hit the water, only my jig box and some trailers are comin along lol

Dobyns Champion Series
after watchin that video im steering more and more towards the 735c. i love how rackley says its the ak47 of jig rods lol
-
Dobyns Champion Series
lol lately i find 3/8-1 oz the norm so the 735 might be the ticket but well see, got some time to ponder. ill definantly check that out, thanks flippin and pitchin

Dobyns Champion Series
thanks wild bill. ive heard it was and ive checked it out. ive heard nothin but good about the champion series. although these rods are somewhat similar its hard to decide lol the 735 might be the better choice as it seems to be a more versatile rod buuuuuut im stubborn and absolutely love flippin sticks so ive got some thinkin to do. itll be a few weeks before i get the rod so ill see what else others have to say that might steer me towards one over the other.

Anybody Got A Powell Diesel Yet?
heard that too but not sure if its gonna happen just yet. also, i agree. if you buy a rod online you should check it out right away and if there are flaws, send it back and get it taken care of.

How The Pros Are Fishing The Classic
yep, i think the same thing. i grew up fishing stained to muddy waters and found that even when the air temp was 42-48 degrees and the water was around the same i was still flippin and pitchin shallow cover with some great bites.

Anybody Got A Powell Diesel Yet?
lookin forward to it elk river. lol man i work and im still straped for cash so i know exactly how you feel. im gettin some cash back from taxes so im gonna buy a couple dobyns champion rods and a couple new irod air that are comin out 2nd week of march. you should check out the abu veritas rods also, for 100 bux you cant beat em.

Dobyns Champion Series
hmm im leaning more towards the 736c now cus i usually use baits 3/8 n heavier. usually 3/8 is the lightest ill go most the time. im gonna be using the rod for jigs/flippin/pitchin and some punching here and there. i have a rod for frogs so whichever rod i get will probably never have a frog tied on it.
