i think i might be the only person who has never fished, let alone owned a pack of chigger craws until today. got a chance to go out on the river and pitch them today and wowsers, awesome, awesome baits. id love to fish rage craws more but theres one store in my area that carries them and their color selection sucks and the online stores seem to always be out of the colors i need/use.

id have to say a dobyns champion 735c with a lews tournament pro. amaaazziing jig combo. also a powell max 766flip with an ardent f700 flip/pitch reel.

lol didnt think it did. just wanted to see what you all thought because the guys and i were talkin about it this past weekend after day one of our tournament and most thought it mattered. i thought it was purely cosmetic as do most of you lol

i looove sniper! its awesome. shooter is great too but after seein tackletours review of shooter idk. the knot strength was about cut in half when tied using a palomar if i read correctly but there are other knots that are about 100% break strength. honestly, sunline super fluorocarbon is awesome for flippin and pitchin. 15.99 for 200yrds, cant beat that. ive never had an issue. ill use sniper for flippin and pitchin also and same results, never a problem.

thank you kahuna bass. i push the companies that sponsor me because i believe in their products/services. ill never speak for a company that i dont believe in. i made that promise to myself a long time ago. i think these days a lot of people try for sponsors because they want free or discounted products or to just be a name dropper, thats not right, thats not the point of having a company sponsor you. i have no problem paying for my rods, reels, baits, and tackle. i work my butt off, train my butt off, fight my butt off, and fish my butt off. people need to truly realize what it means to have a company back you before they go looking.

yea all this is spot on. im an mma fighter and with that comes the need for sponsorships as well. ive had the same sponsors with the addition of a couple more recently for the past 3 years. i push the company and its services in and out of the cage. people see shirts with sponsor names and sometimes ask what they do and i tell them. sparks interest and from what some of my sponsors have told me, theyve got more business because of people speaking to me. ive never once asked for free or discounted products, never. if sponsors see that your not just in it for free stuff or a discount, theyll eventually offer it. the one quote that came to mind when i first started on the sponsor hunt was "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" JFK. i think that quote sums it up in sense because sponsors dont want to hear what can you do for me, they wanna hear what can i do for you.

this is my first time with them. im lovin em so far. the gap on them isnt as big as say the gama, trokar, or ri bmf hooks but i still didnt miss a fish, every hookup was solid

just got mine in today, got off work early and went to test them out and they are super. anyone else use them, if so whatd you think?

check out dobyns rods. amazing rods and amazing customer service. imo, loomis comes in 2nd compared to these guys but to each his own, everybody has different opinions.

pegged sinker. anytime im fishin grass or any cover for that matter i always peg my sinker. it keeps everything together and in really gets through the grass. depending on how thick the mats, use anywhere from 3/4-2 oz sinkers. this style of fishing is by far my favorite. use a heavy wire straight shank hook, no less than 50lb braid, and a snell knot. ill sometimes use a punch skirt as well but not always.

honestly, i dont think there are any cons to pegging a sinker. any time im pitchin/flippin my sinker is pegged. i use eagle claw or danielson bobber stops. always worked just fine and dont damage the line one bit.

is it really as good as it sounds? lookin at buyin a spool or 2 but want some input before i drop 30 bux/100yrds. please dont tell me to use seaguar. used it before and imo its junk, had nothin but issues. not knockin anyones preference, just sayin.

every tournament i fish, theres always a c rig tied on and it usually gets thrown first. i fish it year round and catch fish. to me there is no right or wrong time to toss a c-rig, same with a jig. one thing you should never try on a c-rig is a soft body swimbait.... just sayin lol

i use a dobyns 735c for pitching/flipping. i love the in between length of the 7'3" rod. imo its the best of both worlds. that rod is also used for jigs. anyway, i like a 7'6" as well. as stated above the dobyns 766flip. i wouldnt use anything shorter than 7'3" but thats just me.

ive used a couple of the bc diesels. they dont suck lol theyre a d**n good rod for the price. dont be afraid to pick one up, ive had a wal mart special berkely lightning rod for the better part of 5 years now and have not had one issue with it. if that thing is holding up just fine, im 100% sure that the diesel line will as well.

not my favorite. id rather fish an sk rodent, robo pitchin kraw, or even better, the missile baits d-bomb. those things slay bass!

yep id agree, slack braid doesnt really transmit a bite too well. fluoro however does but like also stated above, its hard to beat braid.

i use the pure craw from time to time, its good stuff. i used that before i used megastrike and pro cure. stays on the bait a long time buut i prefer megastrike craw and or pro cure craw.

the d-bomb is amazing! one of the best "beaver" style baits on the market now imo. so soft yet so durable and they flat out catch fish. theyve got some great colors and other great baits that i gotta try out. anybody else here use them yet?

i use megastrike and pro cure a lot. i believe the right scent actually does work. theres been a few articles written about scents and how bass perceieve those scents that makes a lot of sense. fish in general dont smell like we smell, they pick up the amino acids and they pass through a series of sensory organs that determine what theyre smelling. its been documented that oil based scents dont really work because the molecules are much to large for the fish' sensory organs. this is all things ive read in a nutshell lol i think they work, ive tested it and though i didnt completely annihalate em with a scent i did however catch more and they held on longer and took the bait deeper thus resulting in better hooksets.
