Wedding is the 10th but we are leaving town the 1st to head to where the wedding is taking place (Little Red River in Heber Springs, AR) Then driving 11 hours to Smokey Mountains where we rented a house for the honeymoon. I will be fishing during the honeymoon. It will be fly fishing for trout though.

Dear Raider, Why do avid fishermen live up north where their lakes & ponds freeze over? Where they can only fish 7-8 months of the year? Where they are stuck inside the house 3 months straight so they go stir crazy & start thread after thread about how sick of winter they are and how they can't wait till spring to come? Why would anyone want to subject themselves to such things when there are lots of places wherethey can fish all year? Jus sayin... Signed, Fishes comfortably all year

Use both. Med Heavy for dropping a rage craw with 1/2 weight & the Med for lighter plastics and weights. I use ML-MH depending on the situation.

Depends on where you are fishing them. In open water I fish them on jig heads. Around grass & cover I use weighted swimbait hooks.

Shipping would probably be best option. I have flown with fly rods but never one piece rods. On my way back from Alaska this summer there were a few guys with 7' one peice rods in tubes as their carry-on's. You will have to check with the airlines you are flying, but you may be able to take them as a carry-on luggage.

Look up and study the seasonal patterns of bass. That will give you a huge head start on finding them. Once you know what parts of the lake & depths they "should" be it will be much easier finding them, especially with SI. Good luck! Carlton
