  1. I mostly use a Zoom Finesse worm, green pumpkin or smoking blue
  2. Pretty nice haul Mike....and as I recall you caught em pretty good on the road trip....I think I'd demand fixing your handle along with some heartfelt apologies!!
  3. Since I don't own a boat I start whenever the person that invited me to fish with them wants to.
  4. Congrats Jeff....you will be a good one!!!
  5. Enjoy them all but start getting excited at 2.5 to 3 lbs and at 5 lbs I become ecstatic.
  6. I prefer the keeper as it makes for easy adjustment and re rigging. I have had an occasional issue with it slipping but very infrequently. I'll have to try NBR's suggestion of 2 keepers.
  7. I have never used the Johnny Morris reel but I own a couple Pro Qualifiers. I think the Pro Qualifier is a fine reel.
  8. I use mostly Zoom, Rage Tail and Net Bait products....not to say I don't use others....I'm easily attracted to the latest gimmick.
  9. I fish as a non boater so I am limited. Depending on the time of year, lake, game plan etc... somewhere between 5 and 7.
  10. Congrats man....it's always great when you do well with something new. Hope it's the first of many with a jig!!
  11. Your choice sounds like it will work very well for you. Just a suggestion that when you get to BPS play with some of the other brands in your price range. You may surprise yourself with something you think feels much better. I was in the market earlier this year for a med 6' 6" spinning rod, picked up one of the BPS carbon lites and really liked it. Had not previously considered it. Surpised myself and am very happy with the rod. Moral to the story....feel all the options at the store and have fun deciding.

I've had all my swimbait luck with LFT Magic Shad and Skinny Dippers.
  13. A few years back when fishing with a buddy I was using a tube and started catching them pretty good. We got to joking around and I told him I was using a new invention of mine. From that point forward we now refer to tubes as "my invention".
  14. I've always had success fishing a carolina rig on road beds.
  15. Green Pumpkin for soft plastics, Citrus Shad for crankbaits
  16. Budweiser or occasionally a Molson Canadian.
  17. I got intrigued by this and picked some up at BPS this afternoon. Looks like it should work real well. Anyone have comments, ideas or suggestions based on experience?
  18. Could be dangerous......Long Mike will have more time to try to drown you!!
  19. I'm going to miss the soiree.....that was about as high class a name for a shindig I've ever been to.
  20. Insurance broker for high risk commercial insurance.
  21. Joe Bonamassa (need to check this guy out, google him, not known to the masses but he is lights out) Mark Knopfler (Dire Straights)
  22. It's been good for me. Have caught fish consistently except maybe the roadtrip where the conditions were less than favorable. New baits I've tried have been a Jika Rig which worked well and new for me is a swim jig which has been good. Best fish so far is about four pounds. Got to fish a new lake in a club tournament last weekend (Nickajack, lake just above Guntersville on the TN River), beautiful scenery and caught a 9.5 lb limit, only good enough for 3rd place (missed second place by an ounce) but always nice to get a limit....headed to Old Hickory next for old familiar surroundings. Kentucky Lake in the early fall.......looking forward to a fun year!!
  23. I hope Jeff doesn't have the place fished out before next May......leave a few in there for us!!!
  24. I use a Paca Chunk.
