  1. I heard there is some gal from Arkansas named Jessica that likes doing stuff with older guys....you might have a better shot with her
  2. I use mostly finesse jigs...#12 Seagur Red Label
  3. I hate to admit it but I've not had much luck with Senkos. I caught a few fish early on with them but not many. I guess now I just don't use them. Maybe I should try them again.
  4. OK.....for 3.65 mil I'll go ahead and take the job!!
  5. Program is in great shape and should be able to get a great coach...time of year makes it tougher. It'll be fun to watch all the rumor mills.
  6. I'm not a Vandy fan.......but living in the Nashville area I can tell you that you could do alot worse than James Franklin. He's a great recruiter, very available and transparent to the media / fans and a darn good coach. I'd trade Derek Dooley for him tomorrow (I know thats not saying alot)!!
  7. The good thing for Hog fans is that it is a great job right now and should be attractive to many great candidates. They have no NCAA problems and top 5 talent. I just hope my Vols don't get any stupid ideas about this guy....Kiffin was enough!! I'm hearing chatter around here that Vandy's James Franklin would be a possibility. Sure is an attractive situation for a head coach.
  8. I use #12 seagur red label flouro for most applications. Just my opinion but don't overthink it because any of the recommendations given are working for the person using them.
  9. Actually I caught the fish in about 5 FOW on pea gravel or chunk rock
  10. It is a 3/16 oz weight on it.
  11. I tried this in our club tournament Saturday on Percy Priest Lake. Weather started in the 40's and temps rose to the low 70's with bright blue skies and very low winds. The fish were biting. Water temps 68 to 70 degrees. I bought some Owner Jig Rigs (they call it jig rig in leiu of jika rig) with the 3/0 hook. I used a power bait lizard in green pumpkin and put a little chartreuse dye on the tail. Fished it pretty much like a T Rig but it felt slightly different. In any event I caught several keepers plus some short fish. All in all I would recomend it. I'm not sure a T Rig would have been any less effective but I kind of like the idea that the hook and bait are a bit more free to impart more action.
  12. I'd love to fill one of those seats on the 24th or 25th.
  13. I caugt my PB with a SK series 5 in sexy shad.....guess that makes it my favorite!
  14. The fun part about the advice here is that everone has differing opinions and the reader has to decide what they want to try. Eventually the reader does have to go try on his own whatever he decides should work for him. He then gets to tweak that. It's all fun.
  15. I assume you are using a baitcaster. If that is the case you are going in the right direction with a MH fast action rod. I would go with flouro.
  16. SWEEEET!!! Best of luck with her.
  17. Can't wait to see Flukie looking like a Yellow jacket!!!
  18. Pretty much the only jigs I use. If you haven't tried these now is the time. Great quality jigs!!

    3. If a word is misspelled in the dictionary, how would we ever know? Long Mike would be sure to resolve the problem!!!
  20. I have a Steez baitcaster, very nice but very expensive. At my level of expertise I really don't notice much difference from other nice but less expensive reels except for the weight. I won't be getting another one.
  21. My perfect set up for me is a custom spiral wrap rod made by the one and only ALPSTER (6'8" MH-F) paired with a Chronarch 50MG. Use it for jigs and most plastics.
  22. Nice day....well except that last fish!! LOL
