  1. Speaking of breakfast.....as non boaters Susan and I will be more than happy to fix breakfast for whoever is kind enough to take us fishing on their boat for the day.
  2. I agree, a lot goes in to the planning. From choosing the destination with adequate facilities, Mike keeping up with us YAHOOS to sign up, pairing boaters and non boaters, lining up speakers etc..., Gary, Ronnie and Kent fixing meals and soirees, I'm sure I forgot stuff but you get the drift. A hearty thanks to all involved in putting it together!!
  3. The BPS Spring Classic got me to thinking about this. They are going to be selling the old Curado's for $99.00 which I think most would agree is a very good deal for that reel. But...let's say you were in the market for a new reel and had your heart set on a different reel where the price is similar to the Curado's original price. Would it be worth it to you to save $50.00 or so over getting what you really wanted? I'm assuming you could afford the price difference (goes without saying if you could only afford $100. then this would be hard not to buy). Just curious.....I think I'd go for the reel I really wanted.
  4. I've lived in Nashville since 1977. The Smyrna Airport is a civilian airport now, they closed the Air Force base in 1970. They have a pretty spectacular air show there, I believe it is in June. Blue Angels are scheduled to perform. Look forward to meeting you.
  5. Really looking forward to seeing you again too my friend! Not sure about the party part though....I'm so old now that I've even given up cigars,
  6. Likewise, can't wait to see everyone
  7. I'm in along with Susan, my bride to be! I'll email the forms tomorrow Mike. Looking forward to it!
  8. I'm going to see about this year. Had to cancel last year due to an unexpected and unpleasant divorce and all that goes with that. This year much better but will be moving my elderly Mom in the next month or so. Also, will be buying a new house and moving myself again.....Oh Yeah, also met a new lady very unexpectedly after aforementioned divorce. Anyway after saying I'd never do that again guess who's getting married...not sure of date yet. So anyway I'm going to discuss this with her tonight and hopefully she'll come with me. If so I'll get you the forms tomorrow Mike. It's been too long, really would like to see y'all again. Saw Glenn at the classic Sunday and had fun catching up. Hope I can get it all worked out.
  9. I'm typically a Shimano guy but have one Tournament Pro for a bit over a year. It's become my favorite reel.
  10. I'm really disappointed but due to personal reasons I have to cancel my attendance at the roadtrip. I hate it for me but hope everyone has a great time and whacks em!! I'll look forward to the reports.
  11. Really looking forward to this trip.....I'm happy to fish with whoever will have me!!
  12. Just spoke to an agent at TWRA and he is going to check into it and let me know tomorrow....I'll report back. I suspect by May the A rig bite will have slowed down
  13. It's a Tenn regulation so I presume it will apply in TN water even though you can use an AL license. I'll check a bit further
  14. If fishing the A-Rig in Tennessee you are only allowed 3 hooks. A treble is considered one hook. This is a bit of a change in the law effective 3-1-13
  15. I'm ready to go! Newly divorced so some good fishing will be just what the Doc ordered. Can't wait to see everyone again, meet some new folks and a few PIGS!!!
  16. 2009 Subaru Forester.....105,000, just broken in!
  17. Get to feeling better quick......hope you have a great rest of your vacation.
  18. I voted Shimano but am very impressed with a new Lews I bought several months ago. I have Abu's and Daiwas, there is nothing wrong with them either. Shimano is just my personal preference....especially the Cronarch 50MGs, wish they still made those!
  19. Strike King KVD Squarebill 1.5 - Citrus Shad,Sexy Shad or Gizzard Shad Strike King Red Eye Shad - Citrus Shad, Sexy Shad or Chrome Blue
  20. Yep, I moved here from NY in 1973....never looked back!
  21. I'll be there...form just sent to you Mike. I fished Pickwick several times this past fall for the first time....look forward to hitting it in the spring. One of the guys in my club caught an 8 lb 4 oz LM in the state BASS federation tournament and I know where she was released!!!!
  22. Green Pumpkin is my most used color. I will sometimes use watermelon when the water is clearer.
