How Long Do You Last
When I was 28 it was dark to dark. At 68 it's how long my body hold up. Usually 4-5 hours and I'm toast.

It Isn't Always Perfect
Just got back from a week long trip to the U.P. of Michigan. My ability to get through the long winters here in Wis. are my dreams about U.P. smallmouth. This year, my dreams turned into nightmares early in the week. On Monday, we went to my favorite lake ( 20-30 smallies from 2-5 lbs.a day are common) The best way to catch these fish is dragging a crawfish colored tube. Well, I caught 11 in about 2 hours and ended up leaving 5 tube jigs in fish. I know none of them survived. After the last fish, I told my buddy, I was done. I threw cranks and topwater and spinnerbaits with no more hits. For the rest of the week we fished other lakes and caught a bunch of LM but those now dead smallies are still haunting me. This is a C&R lake and no self respecting Yooper fishes for bass. We were the only boat on a 1000 acre lake along with the eagles and ospreys. Sometimes dreams suck.

Micro Brews
What I make in my basement. I have a mini, micro brew. You can't have any. Don't even try. It's mine, all mine. My sons beg, my daughters in law beg, I'll buy you a house but you can't have my beer.

Worst Thing That Has Happened To You While Fishing?
If I can put this down right, it is really funny. Have a spare key in my wallet. Put the boat in and leave the keys in truck. Fish down the bank and hook a 2-3 lb. smallie. Bring to the boat and proceed to have the fish and my thumb hooked to the same crankbait. Find my sidecutters and disengage the fish but have a #200 bandit in my thumb. Back to the boat landing. My cell phone is in the truck. My key is in my wallet in my back pocket on the same side as the lure. I am standing in the parking lot, hook in hand and can't reach my wallet. Drop shorts and reach around. Bare azz in the parking lot to get to my key. To make matters worse, my cousins wife was the ER nurse and the whole family knew about my problem within hours.

Annabella Smith
What a great story and a great little girl. I had one of those about 37 years ago and now she is a great mother of two, a business woman and the wife of a county cop. Oh how I miss my little girl but, she has made me proud. God Bless.

Oops Dag Nabit !!!! Why Did I Do That!
Yellowstone River, Yellowstone Park: 2 lb. trout wallowing on the surface attached to a fly, which was attached to a 5x leader, which was attached to a fly rod. Enter center stage: a pelican with an 8 ft. wing span and a mouth about 3 feet long. Needless to say, the battle lasted about 30 seconds, but it's end result was never in doubt.

Experience And Dd Bass?
I believe that you have a far better chance to catch a 8 lb. smallie in the Wisconsin, Michigan, Minn. area than an 8 lb. LM. .Door Cty. Wis. gives up quite a few 7-8 lb. smallies every year and we all saw that 9 lb. smallie on BR that probably was the state record but the fisherman decided not to kill it. I have caught a lot of 4's, a handful of 5's and, a 6 on the Mississippi. But, 8's are very rare. Heck, we had ice on our northern lakes the opening weekend of fishing season.

Gift Cards Or Not?
Wow, your going to have to give a few more details than that. According to your OP, my answer would be: yes, no, maybe, never, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin and absatootly.

Bass
Dilly, Well it's about 10 miles by river from Marquette to Guttenberg so I'll say yes. A great stretch of river.

Bass
There is this "secret" little channel on " pool 10" on the Mississippi that stays well stocked all summer long. Happens to be a couple hundred yards down stream from a landing that has a tourney almost every weekend. Only go there when fishing is crappy. Helps to keep the spirit up and the fever down.

Coffee Making
Having been in the foodservice industry for over 30 years, the most important part of coffee brewing is the water temp. To properly extract the essential oils from the grind, the temp should be between 195 degrees and 205 degrees. Try to keep the temp. in that range and you will have a great cup.

How Do I Stop This
I made a post on "NE fishing" a couple of days ago and now any posts on NE fishing shows up on my personal E-mail. I enjoy having BR members, responding to my posts show up on my e-mail but not every post a member makes on NE bass fishing. How do I stop this?

Drop-Shot Michigan ?
I just spent the better part of an hour on Google trying to figure out of if drop-shoting is legal in Michigan. I know that a few years ago it wasn't. But watching the pros in lower Michigan last year, most of them were using it. I love fishing smallies in the UP and have a 10 day trip set up for the last week of June. Would love to fish the drop-shot. IS IT LEGAL?? I am 100% C&R. Thanks guys.
