Living in Green Bay and remembering the big "stink" when the Wisconsin DNR closed northern Green Bay to the "elite fisherman" 2 years ago, I say no, the State has every right to protect it's resources. I have lived in Green Bay and fished the bay for over 50 years. It can go from baby butt flat to 6 ft. rollers in a very short time. 5 smallies in a live well on a 1.5-2 hour ride in that type of water is not good conservation. Each state has a right to protect it's resources according to their knowledge of that resource. I was also a marshal in that event and the water was baby butt flat for the first 2 days but believe me that is unusual. No event should ever preclude good conservation and the "elites" that bad mouthed the Wisconsin DNR, like KVD should be ashamed of themselves. By the way, his nephew won the event.

Get on the web and investigate the Table Rock lake area. There are 100's of resorts, A lot of them rent boats and are well within your price range. I have been there twice in late March and the fishing was really good. Airport near by.

The "old me" is the president of the "SFPOCTTB" founded in about '63. Well, you don't know the lake and you are new to bass fishing, You are at the novice stage in your bass fishing life. None of us can give you a winning formula. Listen to all the advice on BR, go with what you can afford and let us know how you do with the information provided to by the BR crew. I'd go with a 5" wacky rigged, unweighted senko.. The town I grew up in the UP of Michigan is having their 50th class reunion, 47 students and 2 still live in the town. 12 are dead ( Viet Nam 7) and the rest are so scattered around the country that they don't even know how to get "home" The nearest airport is 100+ miles away.

But a guy with a ladle in a restaurant will bring you to your knees. I'll bet slonezp could throw you a kiss and you would just pass out. Only real men stand up to a ladle.

The reason the pictures won't post is because that mean ole Bigfoot has mind control over you. You need to get your head on right, ie: out of the dark stinky place, and post those pictures so your BR brothers can help you figure this out. Otherwise you may go through life afraid of the dark.

Just wondering, did a " young person " ever do anything wrong in your place of business? I noticed that in your OP you questioned the ability of "OLD PEOPLE" to display proper decorum. My suggestion would be, A: don't take any business from anyone over, say 60? B: don't get old, you may not be able to find anyone to work on your car, and C: don't ever eat anything that may cause stomach distress if your not going to be close to your own potty the next day, you may cause another businessman to question the decorum of "young people"

I am not "bad luck", I am "no luck" And if you need a drought ending storm I will be there. My ability to draw record wind and hail the size of a jitterbug is well documented by my fishing buddies. They try to find a way to leave me home but, I am the cook and bartender plus, I own the boat. They can convince my wife to let them borrow the boat because she knows me. I did catch a bass once though.
