  1. Baitmonkey1984, I found it hilarious that you as a lawyer posted: " I still sue and love that boat" I know you wanted to say USE and love that boat but is was still really funny.
  2. In the 20+ years I have owned a boat, I have used Wallyworld Everstarts. I think when I started buying their deep cycle units they were $45-50. Now they are about $90 or so. I know that I will have to replace them every 3 years and accept that but, they have never failed me. I can afford better if I choose to, however, WHY? $180 or so every 3 years for how many times a year that I fish is dirt cheap. I would be willing to bet, it costs more to charge them over that 3 years than to buy them.
  3. My Mom and Dad had 9 grandkids, 8 boys and a girl. My brother had 3 boys, my sister had 3 boys and I have 2 bays and a girl. I have 7 grandkids, 5 boys and 2 girls. Have no clue. I think I remember something from biology class over 50 years ago about some X's and Y's swishing around in a primordial mumbo jumbo and walla, you get what you get. Good Luck. Remember, little girls make great fishing partners too. My 9 year old granddaughter sure is. PS, I had an uncle that had 6 daughters. He died really young with a shotgun across his knees.
  4. One of the better lately
  5. It's an 870, it should last forever.
  6. Fisher: you know you just did that to annoy those of us that can't go fishing tomorrow . Tonite it going to be -2 degrees and tomorrow the high will be +8. God bless and may your knots fail and your reels backlash. LOL
  7. As I was reading this, I was glancing through the 2015 Basspro shop catalog. ( ya, I was multi tasking, Had on Fox news too.) I would estimate that fully 1/3 of the plastics in that catalog are craw, jig trailer, creature bait spinoffs from the various bait companies. Wow, what a montage of shapes, appendages and colors. I can understand why a new or even fairly experienced bass fisherman would be awe struck by trying to figure out what to use. Can any one spell "BAIT MONKEY" I have 100 lbs of plastic. At least one should work.
  8. I have 8, 201b "greenies" that are anywhere from 10-16 years old. They cost $120 in 1997 and $120 in 2005. I have worn them out over the years and they still work like they did when I bought them. I wouldn't sell them for what I paid for them. Keep it and fish it. However, they did make 5.21 curados back then, two of mine are that gear ratio. I use them for cranks and spinnerbaits.
  9. I have no idea how to ask a Mod a question. Would someone please inform me. Thank you.
  10. I have about 100 Terminators . Only spinnerbait I use . Bugchunk is right, every once in a while a blade will just be gone. Don't know why, just live with it. They never need an adjustment.
  11. Because the Packers coaches were advising the hawks coaches. Packers: up 12 with 4 to go. Hawks up 10 with 8 to go. Classic fail. what a bummer.
  12. A Bait monkey vaccine. A credit card that would "refuse" any purchases from a fishing tackle company. A line that would really live up to all the hype and really preform like it is promoted. A few lure manufactures that sell lures under $10.00 that you don't have to replace the hooks on because they are too d**n cheap to use good ones. A guide that doesn't think that you paid him $350 (plus tip) for him to fish. A lure company that doesn't discontinue your favorite color or lure. A hook that doesn't get dull. A GYBC senko that lasts more than 1-2 fish. Winter in the north country where we have to wait 6 months between outings. A cabin on a good southern lake like Guntersville for less than $1200 a week. Do you want more? Did I mention the bait monkey? God, I love bass fishing.
  13. Besides, would you want to be caught fishing with a bright orange rod?
  14. Isn't ipt based on the size of the spool? A larger spool ( in diameter) would produce more ipt than a smaller diameter spool regardless of gear ratio.
  15. Like any other national brand, if it's Berkley, folks are going to buy it. It might be only 5% of their line market but probably has a huge profit margin. "Fireline" wow, I remember that, gotta get me some. Walmart shopper thought process.
  16. To keep the masses watching the adds.

I used to joke about a jet ski death ray. Now drones too?
  18. Good luck Scrutch, be safe and thanks.
  19. Simple beer bread recipe: 3 cups SELF RISING FLOUR, 1 and 1/2 cups sugar, 1 can room temp beer. Mix, will be about like pancakes batter. Pour into small greased foil bread pan and bake at 350* for 1 hr.15 min. Wipe top with butter when you pull it. Makes absolutely great toast. Also you can add: cheese, minced J.A.P.S. or any other peppers, raisins or other dried fruit. Really fun to play around with. Different beers will affect the taste too. Enjoy. Filter won't let me spell the peppers.
  20. What does "some of which I still have mean" ? If you don't have them, how do you throw frogs on them ? Sounds like a shopping list.
  21. I just spent $50 on tungsten sinkers with Sebert Outdoors. Do you think I may have a problem? Oh ya, there were 3 jigs on the order.
  22. My 7year old flip phone takes pictures. I'm too old and not smart enough to have anything more modern.
  23. I've got 7 of those little Angels and they are my life. My 9 year old granddaughter casts a open faced reel like a pro. Her favorite bait is a wacky rigged senko. Congrats.
