Help Me Maximize My Casting Distance. Reel Upgrades, Bearings Etc?
flush your bearings and use a super small drop or oil or adjust your brakes/get better /w your thumb. I had the mojo crankbait rod years ago and used a 200 sized curado at a time on it. I could cast a kvd 1.5 (around 3/8oz) further than I ever wanted to. By the weights you described, I'm assuming you're using shallow cranks. Distance is the least of your concerns. Accuracy>distance.

Finesse Casting Rods, Phenix Recon And St. Croix Avid
If you're going 1/4oz poppers and pointer 78s, I would opt for the 68mxf avid. I use the LTB for the same baits

St Croix Premier
I don't want to come off as pretentious but it's been a while since I've fished a rod in the 100$ range. I have fished a premier though. It's a sturdy and very basic looking/feeling rod that will serve you well but it just falls further and further behind it's competition in it's appropriate price range. Off the top of my head I'd rather try Duckett, *** Black, Carbonlites, Daiwa Tatula, Fenwick Elite tech's, Powell, Shimano Crucial (you can find the previous version crucial on discount due to being discontinued for around 50% off-well below the price of the premier). Personally, I just don't like anything St. Croix offers below the Avid line. I didn't notice you're looking for a 2 piece "do it all" rod until after I typed that. Just get the 2 piece 7'MF(or 6'6- that's completely subjective to you) St. Croix premier and be done /w it. It isn't going to "wow" you but it will suffice.

Can I Take A Rod Apart?
Im not 100% but i believe the top lock nur above the real seat is put on prior to adding guides as it wont fit over the trigger

St Croix Premier
Length this personal preference and subjective to its intended use. I prefer 7'+. As far as returning it, go with your gut. Theres a huge rod selection in the 100-150 price range and, personally, the premier isnt even close to the top of my list and i like st. Croix. Good luck.

Rod Rant
You're the only one that's confused on this one..... Unless you're fishing in a manner that probably everybody, your rod and its motions are in front of you, not around you. You hold the fishing rod in front of you at roughly waist/rip/mid chest area. That's 0/360..... I've also seen many, many people break fishing rods doing the exact same thing you're talking about on the river fishing below the tailwaters above the different "walls" along each lock and dam and I'm very familiar /w the height as I've even succombed to fishing in those nonsensical areas at times. Flipping fish in the manner you're talking about is asinine.

Paging Flyfisher! Fole's won't be a top 9-10 ( can argue 10) QB this year but Eagles take divison away from.......Washington? Romo will have a monster year. Dallas might go 8-8 Podcast's are running wild My draft's don't start for 2-3 weeks. It's like X-mas but it comes once a week! Please no "I want X at #1". You can easily make an argument for the top 3-4 rbs to go #1.

New V. Old Curado
that reel(G series) is not worth its 139 price tag when you can get the new I series for 179. The G series was on clearance a while back for 99$ and under. I just the new 201HG for 159 at a tackle shop on the river. It's one heck of a reel.
