St Croix Warranty ??
Is that a serious question? You get a brand new rod for the cost of shipping.... Thats the point of the warranty. If you want it free in your hands right then and there you may want to start buliding your own or buy house brand rods and pray they take them back when you tell them a guide broke your rod and u want a new one free of charge.

St Croix Warranty ??
Do you now how many of these stories (not saying yours didn't happen but i'm assuming you understand this) a company as large as St. Croix gets? How are they to know what is manufacturer defect or a users own stupidity? A rod could have a nick in it from dropping it on your guides boat, could have been stepped on, or any number of things. All they are asking is you pay for the shipping and they will replace the rod for free.....you use their discount shipping label you are paying around 30-35$ for a brand new rod.... and you are complaining about not getting something for free when THE GUIDE you were with broke it. The shipping cost is just a small cost they charge because they have zero idea wheather it's user error or a manufacturer defect. Aside from that, it's a free rod. People rave about Dobyn's no questions asked 60$ replacement warranty. St. Croix's Silver Star plan is nearly half that. They have easily one of the best warranties in the business and I'm a Dobyn's guy. and your idiot guide owes you a new rod. not st. croix. he at least owes you the money to ship it and get it back.

Champion Vs. Champion Extreme
If you are using it for bottom contact and feel presentation i feel its worth it it. Anything along the lines of frogs, swim jigs, spinnerbaits ir anything moving the savvy or champ is more than adequate.

Which Dobyns Model?
some like full cork because it balances better but the split grip balances great as well. i use all split grips (except for the champ cranking rods) and use 6oz-7oz reels on all my rods and even the 7'4 -7'6 rods balances great /w 50 size shimanos and t3 1016s

Champion Vs. Champion Extreme
It's entirely relative to your budget. I personally think it is worth it but I always buy the rods during sales for 260$ give or take. the DX lines are slightly faster than their counterpart in the champion series i.e 733 vs 743. the exception is the 735 vs 745 /w the 735 having an xf tip. some people don't feel the price if warranted but I feel it is. it's really only something you can decide when using them.

735 for 3/8+ 734 for 3/8- The 735 has a pretty unique xf tip and can still throw 1/4 jig+trailer

12 Ducketts
Depends. If you like Ducketts, then you would be well suited /w 12 ducketts. If you didn't like them though, you would be always wishing you had a different rod.

If You Had A 1,200
well that leaves you with $240 per set up. if you go for mid range reels in the 150$ range that's 750 for 5 reels and you are left /w 450$ for 5 rods. you can find curado G's, Tatulas and T3B's for around 100-110 each so that leaves you 700 give or take for 5 rods. if you stay /w those reels you're looking at something like 5 13 omens, mojos, carbonlines, etc if you want 5 set ups.

Help With A Frog Setup
memorial day sale at TW is just around the corner. Get the dobyns Savvy 735 on sale for around 120 and any high speed reel (new curado I, Daiwa Tatula 7:3) and some 65# braid. that would be my choice at 300$ . the 735 is one great frog rod.

Bassmaster C'mon Man
Ah beat me to it. Five hundred and fifty is 500.50 OP, not 550.00. The marshal wouldn't be the one posting the pic on the blog either. He would be sending it in to someone else to post it/title it. marshal's obviously don't have remote access to the site server to upload/save files at their own will..........

Chatterbait Rod?
I use the 733 (savvy would work fine as well in 733) for both swim jigs and chatter baits. I fish northern style 1/4oz swim jigs more than any other weight of swim jig and 3/8 vibrashock bladed swim jigs just about always. Rod is perfect for both. I hear ya on the ECS. I cannnot stand ACS or sk2.

Line For Jig Rod
17-20# fluoro
-
Yo Zuri Hybrid Vs Invisx
Using expensive fluoro as a leader is just foolish and a giant waste of money. If you arent using fluoro as a mainline, dont overthink it. Use simething abrasion resistant you dont get the perks of fluoro using it as a leader anyway aside from lower vis and abrasion resistance. Braid +fluoro wont have the slack line sensitivity straight fluoro does.
