  1. #1 reason i fish fluoro is the slack line sensitivity is unmatched. I love fluoro. Sorry you dont. Each line has its place. There is no "one line to do it all perfectly".
  2. Gotcha. I would bet that is true though.
  3. Nvm phone didnt display poll till i cleared
  4. Thats a relative question that only you can decide.
  5. I use fc sniper and ive used shooter. Both are fantastic lines
  6. Im not sure what that has to do with anything but He and i are from the same area.Theres one catfish creek on pool 12. It is known as "the train bridge". Even more so than the actual train bridge that goes across the mississippi.
  7. I used the 7'mhm years ago. Good rod,
  8. No its great on a spinning reel
  9. Was this particular creek catfish creek? The creek that drains into the river /w the small railroad bridge over top of it. I always seem to see some animal that has "that" look that I shouldn't be back in there.
  10. i'd personally go 8# tatsu if I were you. The line has a very small diameter(only .009) in comparison to others 8#.
  11. I've used that rod for a few hours for walleye on pool 4 and a fishing partner of mine uses the same rod. He uses 10# pp high vis on it for walleye and 7# fluoro during bass season. he loves it. The rod is incredibly sensitive no matter what line you have on it.
  12. this post should have informed people a week ago. i bought 200yd spools of 15# tatsu for 21$ each during the classic sale at TW. I felt like I was stealing. It is some amazing line.
  13. I caught a beaver in a pad field. it must have been hiding on the backside of a log because I didn't even see it until it went all superman on my frog. I did not win that battle.
  14. They are decent for a hand pour. I fished them on a weighted swimbait hook. they do have a nice side to side roll.
  15. Dear raider, Would you take a picture of yourself wearing womans lingere for a pair of custom italian loafers? Was the puppy bowl>kitty bowl?
  16. 1/2oz siebert brush jig in blue craw /w blue craw rage craw pitched into any bush/tree/laydown/dock I can find. 1/4oz brovarney swim jig in blue craw /w alabama craw subwoofer thrown everywhere and in anything.
  17. 68mxf st. croix mojo. skip the premier. same blank as the mojo.
  18. i know the bait you're talking about. the 69mlxf would be ideal but the 68mxf would work as well and be more rounded for other techniques. that is one small fluke.
  19. you may have added too much grease or oil. it's very easy to over do it. you have even got grease into a bearing. take the side plate off, remove the bearing from the side plate. a small clip holds it in. put your finger over 2/3 of it and use a small screwdriver to pop the other side out. then just pull. be careful because this clip will fly away into never-find-me-again land if you aren't careful. pop the bearing out and put it in a small glass of acetone or 50/50 mix of perfect solution or simple green and hot water. swish it around a bit and let all the junk come out of the bearing. could take a little as 5 minutes or some do it overnight. pull it out and rinse in hot water quick and let it dry. spin it on a pencil or a qtip to make sure it free spins effortlessly. it should spin a bit. put one very small drop of oil on it and put it back in. take it apart and wipe down any excess grease in the reel. you really shouldn't even see the grease if you put the right amount on. make sure that spool shaft is clean and dry. any oil on that can slow down a reel. do this and then come back if the problem persists and we will go from there.
  20. Bearings being a little loud after being flushed is normal. If you tested them before you put them in the reel and they were able to free spin for several seconds, they are fine. Cant stress enough less is more when it comes to oil. As for not being smooth, did you clean every single bearing in the reel or just the spool bearings? Make sure the spool shaft is clean and has no oil on it.
