  1. I saw them at dicks a week ago. I will be passing on these.
  2. Try throwing the bait on a different reel with the same rod. The reel may have too much oil on the spool shaft. This will cause very short casting distances. Clean the reel anyway.
  3. yes. very effective in those areas.
  4. Jig/craw beaver
  5. I pitch and flip beavers more than I do craws in areas with anything that resembles grass and/or wood/brushpiles, etc. I'm a big fan of reaction innovations beavers in both smallie and standard as well as missle baits Dbombs.
  6. you're right, it doesn't, but jerkbait fishing is about presentation. vision 110's have a very unique action to them which is why they are so productive. they aren't the answer for the one bait to rule it all as others will work in different situations and out fish the 110. all jerkbaits aren't created equal. depth, water clarity, time of year, mood of fish, water temp, and the list goes on are factors in deciding which style of jerkbait to fish. the megabass vision 110 isn't a gimmick and it flat out produces.
  7. Red eye shad,XCaliber 1 knocker, and aruku shad/jr are the only ones i throw. i really like the 1/4 oz red eye shad.
  8. It improves the overall perfmorance of the reel but it isnt necessary. Once you do it though you will do it to all your reels. It is extremely easy to do. Theres hundreds of youtube videos that give a step by step process.
  9. both faded incredibly quick for me in high vis yellow.
  10. Out if the ones you listed, t3 ballistic. I really like that reel.
  11. Hahaha thats gold. Well played sir.
  12. Tatula has a pretty deep spool. You will be fine
  13. The 733 is my 1/4-3/8 swim jig rod. Its like they made that rod with swim jigs in mind. Its a little slower in action but not by much than the dx743. Cant say enough about how much i like that rod for swim jigs and chattetbaits.
  14. just wait....mine has what looks to be every single type of kvd mustad hook they make(which includes everything from DS hooks, EWG hooks, straight shank hooks, and short shank/regular shank trebles) now. they even sell kvd snaps in a 30 pack for 1.96.
  15. Was rooting for mueller but howell's win was well deserved. great guy.
  16. If you're looking for 7'1 then why not just use a 7? that length range is going to be hard to come by in a MM.
  17. Legend tournament 68mxf, curado 51e, 10# fluoro or 8-10# mono.
  18. I'd give the nod to Doybns as well as i've fished both. the avid is a great rod but the balance on the champion is what sets it apart. if you are into some more cosmetics the dobyns has that too. as far as sensitivity, i'd give the dobyns the slight nod but it's pretty close.
  19. I use the 69mlxf xtreme for exactly what you want to. Love the rod. If you are fishing the 1/8 and 3/16 jig and plastics for walleye the 69mlxf is the best route.
  20. Sorry forgot about this post. Yes, fiberglass resin will pick up every single detail.
  21. Our walmart just stocked itself with strike king rodents, swimming caffeine shads and some other misc plastics. There is a massive wall of the kvd line of mustad hooks. Almost all gama hooks and tungsten is on clearance.
