Is A Glass Rod Really Worth It For Cranking?
It's all personal preference. a lot of people don't like glass rods because they were notoriously heavy. a lot of people do like them though because they like how they fish. some rod manufactures now build some very nice light weight glass rods that some people are turning back to them. it wouldn't hurt to try both if possible.

6'9" M/xf Casting Or 6'10" M/f Casting Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth ?'s
I fished with a guy that had the 69mxf he used for topwaters and jerkbaits. No idea what the top end weight is but he was throwing 1/4oz yellow magic poppers and sammy 100s on a 50 size shimano a good distance. I only held the rod for a minute. The handle is short but seemed perfect as perfect could be for working topwaters/jerkbaits. Not sure if you ever used the st croix 68mxf but it was noticeably shorter than the st croix. Guy seemed to love the rod. The material they use on the grip(forgot what its specifically called) was extremely comfortable.

Different Versions Of The St Criox Ltb
Well "all the hate on the new reel seat" seems a bit confrontational on your end but since you asked i guess....depending on the size of your hands and as well as how you palm a reel, the sk2 doesnt fit in some peoples hands correctly over the previous ECS. The trigger on the sk2 is shorter and if you have large hands like myself, it is beyond annoying to hold when you pal a reel. eCS has an extended trigger which (believe it or not) lots of people prefer. And to clarify, for years before i switched over to dobyns, i used exclusively st croix rods which include most of the 2012 ltb and many xtremes in the cork. Theres a couple st croixs that i will keep hopefully forever (the xtreme 69mlxf spinning, the sweeper that is listed in the ad, and the previous 68mxfc)but im not a fan of any of their current line ups in the legend series. The sciv-scv blanks they use are some of the best around. I felt the "improvements" they made made a lot(not all) of their rods tip heavy and uncomfortable use with their new sk2 seat they have been using.

Dobyns Or Powell?
Never tried a powell, but the dobyns champion line is a great rod.

Show Off Your Collection
I'm surprised we don't have a tackle specific "Show off your stuff" like we do in rods/reels. this should be sticked, could be fun.

Different Versions Of The St Criox Ltb
The diffetence is the blank and the components used. The teaser is one heck of a versitile rod. I personally liked the older versions more because if the reel sear. I hate the new sk2 seat. I would not go much higher than what it is at right now in that listing. That rod though....love the old teaser.

How Far Up The Line (Shimano Guys Look And Speak)
The new curado isnt available yet so you obviously wont find them on clearance until they are released at the classic in a month. This is also assuming the chronarch is being diacontinued,

How Far Up The Line (Shimano Guys Look And Speak)
Guess you missed TW sale of the curado E series when the G came out. I really doubt the chronarch E will be 99$. 120ish maybe. It took a few drops in prices anyway before the curado E hit 99$. Dicks would be the place to look for the huge early discontinued sale of the chronarch.

Are Largemouth Bass Line Shy?
Almost all the water that I fish is either stained or muddy but I use fluorocarbon for almost every application that I can. I don't use it for the "invisibility" factor. I believe, for me, its best attribute is its unrivaled slack line sensitivity and abrasion resistance. I suppose the gin clear California waters would be the exception due to its extreme fishing pressure where presentation is of the utmost importance in some instances but that's for the west coast anglers to decide.

Super Bowl Or Fishing
I haven't fished in going on 2 months and won't get to fish for another 2+ /w the cold weather and ice. I've been watching football for going on 19 weeks now and playing fantasy football for 17. I need a break and would jump and the chance to have a good day fishing over the superbowl given where I live.

Questions About St Croix Warranty
if you buy it from a retrailer, i.e gander mountain, dicks, cabellas, Bps, TW, etc, you get the warranty the rod has. mojo has a 5 year warranty. obviously it's the same if you buy directly from st croix. if you are worried that because a rod is on sale/closeout, you don't have to be. you will get the same warranty. sending it vs having it repaired really depends on what the damage the has. if you break a rod within a stores return policy, more times than not the store will replace it for you. otherwise, sending it to st. croix is a better option. if it's a guide or something really small, having the repair done locally is MUCH cheaper.

Nrx Vs Dobyns Dx
The dx is heavier than the nrx and on paper ny a fair amount. With that said, the dx745 balances amazingly with a 50 siZe reel. It feels light with a reel on it. Not tip heavy at all and i can pitch all day with no fatigue. As for the price difference, thats subjective but i dont feel its worth 200$ more on any accounts
-
Nrx Vs Dobyns Dx
The dx745 is better suited for 1/2 jigs. I like the 744 for trigs. The nrx is arguably the most sensitive rod made. Is it light years above the dx? Depends who you ask. I own the nrx 854 and lots of dobyns. It is "more sensitive" than the dx but nothing to write home about. Not once have i been left wanting more when using a dx.Personal preference is dobyns. More comfortable to fish. Once you get to a certain price point in rods, there is more of a diminishing return and your paying for aesthetics more than performance once you hit the 350ish /enthusiast price range. The difference in the green and blue blanks is the finish, nothing more.
