  1. From the sounds of it, its supposed to be 169.99. At least according to the couple people that have handled them. Who knows.
  2. most people use larger braid/leader to avoid the smaller diameter or braid from digging into the spool.
  3. Well I tried it for river walleye waaaay back when it was first introduced. Boy was that a mistake.
  4. The 705 is a very well rounded rod. If you want some strictly for 1/4 size cranks the 704 would be ideal. Its a pretty whippy rod
  5. You would probably be happier with the 705 for spro little john, dt6, etc siZe baits which are around 3/8-1/2oz. You will be able to more than adequetly throq bandit 100s /w the 705 and a 50mg. The 705 will handle the lower end of the baits you want better than the 704 will handle the upper end of the baits you want if that makes sense. As for glass vs graphite in the dobyns line up, if you ask 50 people which one you will probably get half like one and half the other. Ive read as much as i possible could find on both and you will find all mixed answers. I prefer the 705cb glass i just got.
  6. They are great on shakey heads. Stand straight up. To match zoom green pumpkin....id get green pumpkin.
  7. I take them out of the package and put them inadjustable plano boxes so they lay straight. Ive never had an issue wih them deforming but im particular about how my worms are in their trays. As for the packaging they come in, i could care less as long as they dont go up in price. I like how simple their packaging is.
  8. While sherman did go a bit overboard i agree with forbes.... Put a mic in front of a players face minutes after he was the intrical part of a game winning play that took them to the super bowl against a player they had history with..what did you think he was going to do......
  9. All of the above. I prefer to texas rig a beaver style bait but have used them on jigs on colder water.
  10. Go to a local department store and ask for a carpet tube. Will probably be free or very cheap. They are incredibly tough and nearly impossible to bend in half.
  11. He was towards the end. Watch towards the middle they give a descrip of what hes using and show it a couple times
  12. Ive seen a couple of shots of it but they are really keeping it out of shots. Really putting the reel to the test on red fish and jacks
  13. In the middle of the show that is on right now, he's using a "prototype" curado. Only had a glimpse of it so far
  14. Because it was a giant F%#%ing bat..
  15. there's a few on their FB page that have been submitted.
  16. ive never heard of them but it sounds like you got a pretty biased opinion from the guide.
  17. for jerkbaits/topwater, this is exactly what i would use. especially on one rod
  18. i don't fish copoly anymore but when i did on a few reels, i used CXX. that stuff is ridiculously strong.
  19. braid-stays on forever until it needs replaced. stuff will last forever. fluoro-if i'm low at the time i put my reels away, i strip it off. if not, it stays on and just gets some KVD line and lure a few days before. no issues really /w memory using tatsu/sniper. mono-gets stripped off almost always at the end of the season and gets replaced a coulple days before the first outing.
  20. The baits are two different sounds and actions. I prefer the Red Eye Shad just for it's unique wobble on the fall. In grass, i prefer the Akuru or One Knocker. I switch all hooks /w kvd elite short shank triple grips and go a size up from the stock hook. While I like strike king baits, their hooks are awful. you don't HAVE to change hooks but you will appreciate better hooks when you bend out stock ones. Hook size depends on the bait.
  21. Rage craws Paca craws Subwoofers
  22. The frame is wider. Daiwas magforce 3d braking system is ,imo, better than vbs. just such a smooth braking system. The TWS casts and pitches easier than anything ive used. The 50 shimano is still the most comfortable pitching reel made.
