  1. Is anybody else having an issue when opening up the bass fishing forums main page? If i simply go to the main page, i'm logged in as a different member. so far it's been mike2841 and mjseverson ( i may have misspelled your user name). when i go into any specific forums, i.e general, rods, tackle, etc, i'm logged in on my current user name...earlier the fourm was logging me in on the mobile site when i was on my desktop. i already messaged glenn, too.
  2. Exactly. Nobody knows if/when they will be gone. There's more speculation than you could handle on the chronarch E being d/c or not. I can see it eventually being discounted due to they hype of the Curado I but it almost certainly won't happen right away. It will take a while and will be discounted based on sales and reviews of the new Curado. Just based on what I and everybody else has read about the specs and very minimal feedback of on the water use, it's almost a certainty the chronarch will be discounted if the new curado lives up to its hype.
  3. I didn't say 99. I don't think it will go to 99 initially but eventually it may get that low to clear it out. This is only based on the previous Curado E that was heavily discounted at the release of the current Chronarch E. TW had the 50es for 99$ when they were at the tail end of their supply. I could see 130-140 being a more realistic discount right when the curado comes out but it may take a week or so to get there depending on how the Curado I is received. The new Curado I has a retail of 179.99 and is supposedly a very much improved reel over the curado/chronarch E. On paper, it is a better, more refined reel but very few people have actually used it yet. there wouldn't be room for a reel that is "lesser" than a reel that is cheaper an newer. IF the Chronarch E is thrown down to 99$ right off the bait (i would almost guarantee it won't be right away) they will be gone in a day or two.
  4. If you are asking if you should return the citica G for a different reel..well that's relative to you. Personally, I'd take the Tatula 11 times out of 10 over the citica G. If you can find the curado E for the same price as the citica G, that would be a good route to go as well. Odds are in a few weeks the current Chronarch E (essentially the same reel as the curado E /w a few minor upgrades) will go on sale at a very low discounted price /w the Curado I coming out in two weeks at the Classic.
  5. that's going to be a tough one. i don't like one specific brand for all cranking needs. SK squrebills and their 4s series are good, inexpensive squarebills/shallow divers. the 4s/1s series are more buoyant than the 1.5s as well. spro fat johns are fantastic little squarebills that i like around wood and super shallow docks/wood, i like the lc 1.5 for scattered rock but the prefer the kvd 1.5 if i'm around a huge amount of zebra muscle rip rap because they just get tore up. i still have some zoom WEC cranks that i throw in certain backwater areas that have a little more clarity and wood cover. this is just shallow divers too. Mid divers, the SK 3xd and 5xd are hard to beat based on price vs performance. If you're planning on buying 180$ worth of cranks, I'd scour the internet message board market places or flea bay and look for people selling various lots of cranks. you'll get so much more that way than you would at a major retailer. you'll be left with a lot more for quality hooks as well. if you aren't going to blow all the cash at once, just pick up a few quality cranks here and there and find the ones you like the most. if you're in an area that has fishing expos (expo season is starting right now) you can often times find a lot of crazy deals at them as well.

The sites selling those lc 1.5 blanks are knockoffs?

I just came across these on the bay and found one fairly in depth video review of them that basically says it's a custom painted LC blank...but for dirt cheap. the guy on youtube REALLY goes detail for detail on the KDS vs LC concludes they are most likely the same blank. Anybody use these or have any more info on them? These things are cheaper than KVD 1.5s but LC blanks are under 2$ anyway and have some really nice custom jobs.
  13. I have a degree in graphic design. The second pic, use less feathering. it will create less of a distortion. when you using the initial image and pasting it on the primary image, scale down the feathering. when you are alt/dragging the replacement, mask over the original and create a new later /w a different amount of feathering before you do any visual rendering/filtering. the third image looks good. you can create various masks of your fingers that will sharpen the desired quality. the sharpen filter can only do so much. nice job on the dorsal fine. getting rid of the lettering on your shirt was a good idea. the glare really distorted it in the originals. crop the old mans finger out from the bottom right corner. nice fish!
  14. Lucky you. So far, I am really like the tatula. I like the reel for any bait that's moving. it does pitch effortlessly as well.
  15. The rep samples are rods used for shows and display. They are as new as a used rod gets. Most major vendors you buy from will give you the wildcard replacement for the rod but make sure you get it just in case.
  16. Hopefully i get to have my hands on them at the brovarney booth at the madison fishing expo.
  17. Call gary at The Tackle Trap. He will set you up with any daiwa part you need.
  18. Exactly this. I have however uses their jerkbaits. Nothing that stands out nut they work well.
