  1. Let me know if you want other angles. The t3 sits lower than a 50 but theres no gap on the t3 between the line guide and the reel seat to put your index finger on for leverage. Its odd at first but the reel feels good and casts incredibly far with ease.
  2. I'll post a couple pics in a few min
  3. http://www.alleystungsten.com Really really good prices
  4. I love the 50 size reels and use them for most techniques
  5. I think you misread what i typed out or didn't read it at all. I said "as of late is "romo-ing" every game and only showing up for half of it. " Romo is notorious for only playing really well in either the first half or the second half of a game.....something andrew luck has been doing...as of late.
  6. Seahawks-no brainer 49s /w all the healthy receivers they have now should be able to upset carolina Patriots-They will just find a way to win and like i said above, andrew luck is a pud who as of late is "romo-ing" every game and only showing up for half of it. Broncos-chargers will keep trying to rely on their "keep manning off the field and run the ball 35 times" and throw maybe 18 pass plays even when behind. doubt it works again.
  7. The tatula is the easy pick and it isn't even close.
  8. I haven't had a chance to actually fish the tatula on the water yet. only chuck and wind it in a huge area. the tatula from what I've read feels very effortless when a fish is on while retrieving which is where it can really shine. Side by side w/o experiencing that yet, the chronarch and tatula are the same in terms of smoothness. the TWS is so effortless to cast. it is really great. I can really see myself using just tatulas for anything that involves chucking and winding. for pitching or anything bottom contact, i'm still partial to the 50 size shimanos.
  9. I have both tatula and chronarch(51s and 201s) I have large hands and was skeptical based on a lot of the comments made about the tatulas size. It is not this large reel people make it out to be. its just a bit wider up top but it is very easy to palm. It is very, very smooth and casts with ease and both short and long distances.
  10. This time of year Scheels practically gives away all their old inventory. Right before the stradic FJ came out, they sold the remaining 8 FI models for 25$ a piece.
  11. I leave it on as long as it's good. This includes for 4-5 months during the winter when there is ice. If I get a few breakoffs during the spring, i change it out. that almost never happens though. happens more with mono.
  12. It was -21 this morning /w -52 windchill in northeast IA.....we have a HIGH today of -13.
  13. First off this is Xship-The DUAL BEARING support Secondly, Xship is not something Shimano has been doing for years. It's relativity new to shimano within the past few years. Daiwa has been using this dual bearing supported gear (xship) around a decade (that's 10 years incase you can't research that either) before shimano coined it as Xship.
  14. Hopefully WRB wil chime in on knot breaking strength of fluorocarbons. He can give better specifics than I can. Fluoro loses a % of its breaking strength on the initial first tying of a knot but i don't remember how much.
  15. yah there's been a couple of those delayed penalties tonight so far.
  16. Since when is philly unable to stop the run....wow.
  17. No kidding! It only took half the show for them to figure that out.....the leader was not somebody I would have though would be leading either. Can't wait for the extending cast to show up.
  18. didn't say it was awful. i said it's abrasion resistance was awful. heck, i even said it was decent cheap fluoro. I'll expand on my previous statement just for you. Among the vast amount of fluorocarbons I've used, Seaguar Red Label is one of the few decent budget minded options for someone that wants to take a small step into the world of fluorocarbon. I've used all of Seaguars stateside fluorocarbons. Of which, Tatsu is the best I've used to date. I've used most fluoros you can find in your everyday tackle store including Sunline (FC sniper could arguably be the best midrange fluoro available), Vanish, 100% Trilene, Suffix (both old and new castable), Vicious and Stren. In my personal experiences with using fluorocarbons (and I use straight fluorocarbon for almost everything I am able to) Red Label had the worst abrasion resistance in the 15-20# range I've ever used. I was originally using it in 12# for squarebills and lipless cranks and felt it was okay at best so I bought a few spools on clearance a few years ago to try on jig/trig set ups and was gravely disappointed. Obviously, you're experiences may vary.
  19. red label is decent budget fluoro but has awful abrasion resistance. you have lots of give and take at that end of the spectrum though. i've never used fluoroclear but i have used red label. i'd opt to try the fluoroclear.
  20. Wet your line and tie it slowly. you are probably tying it incorrectly or maybe bad line. I've been using that knot and that knot alone on fluoro for that past few years and can't remember a breakoff due to knot failure.
  21. Indy looking like they came to play.... KC doing all this w/o Charles and Smith throwing a lot. Guy is looking good.
  22. somebody added something "special" to his cheesesteaks today.
  23. Good job you jinxed him!. Hopefully he's okay. An injury prone RB goes the whole season with a monster workload unfazed and then goes down the first drive in the first playoff game. I have a feeling he comes back. Either way davis is a very good backup. Chiefs are looking good. Night game :Eagles by 10 OR saints by 2. The former being the most likely scenario.
