  1. the discount is listed under all the items that are on sale. most items are included in the sale except for daiwa, shimano and loomis.
  2. 16# sunline FC sniper. you get what you pay for /w fluoro. this line is amazing.
  3. I like the rc jerkbaits but it's a gamble weather or not you will get one that will suspend correctly.
  4. You just missed the TW sale but BTD just started their sale. 25% off too.
  5. I like the larger size in green pumpkin/red. i actually have really good luck on them fishing them on a large shakey head /w a big hook crawling it in and out of rocks. fish don't seem to just nip at this bait either. they just slam it.
  6. the 735 is a great rod but the XF tip matched /w what i'm assuming is braid (only assuming based on your previous posts) is the last combo i'd want to use for swim jigs. you did get a great frog rod though
  7. the technique you described as your intended uses would be best suited for the 704 , not the 703 .
  8. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=advantages+of+micro+guides+on+fishing+rods half way down the page you'll see a bassresource link "regular vs micro guides". below that are related topics that have also been discussed on this fourm. directly below that it will say "more results from www.bassresource.com". click that and you will have more info then you could want from one single forum.
  9. you just missed the tw sale. ended yesterday.
  10. best fluoro i've used to date. love the stuff.
  11. you'll probably get a lot of mixed opinions but 10# fluoro or 10# mono is a solid choice. sunlines mono has a smaller diamater so 12# would be roughly the same.
  12. Dobyns Champion 734 can be had during TW black friday sale (starts tomorrow 20% off) for right around your 200$ price tag.
  13. Washing Instrctions: http://www.gore-tex.com/remote/Satellite/content/care-center/washing-instructions do not use fabric softener. as for the spray, i think it's called reviveX or repelX.
  14. the majority of people that think they are "bombing a lure 70+ yards" are ridiculously over estimating casting distance. don't sweat it.
  15. I don't get a choice. I don't believe they make a rod/weight to effectively punch ice.
  16. i used the size 30 patriarch last year for a short time for walleye and smallies. the 30 was a great size . i felt the 35 was just too big. i used 6# braid and 7# fluoro on the reel /w no issues. i really like 1000 size or 30 size reels for walleye though. i like 2500 for large mouth.
  17. have you looked at this rod yet? they seem to have a strong following. http://www.kistlerrods.com/p/fishing-rod/c-klx-gpsg/FHKLXGPSG76XH.html
  18. st. croix has arguably the best customer service in the industry. i will say with complete confidence that they customer service woman you spoke with did not tell you that the LTB was tip heavy and "insensitive". Why would St. Croix pay for the shipping for your rod when you broke it? it doesn't matter if it's a complete accident or not. and then you are done because they won't send you a rob tube? seriously, you broke the rod, go get a 25 cent tube from any home improvement store. most will just give them away from carpet rolls. St. Croix asks you to pay the shipping of a broken rod, they fix or replace it for most likely free(which is why you pay shipping) and then they ship it back free or for 10$. and you're complaining that paying up to a possible 30$ for a 240$ rod you broke is unreasonable?
  19. If i'm pitching a spot where I'm going to have a lot of trouble getting fish out i'll use braid. anything else that I can get by /w fluoro, i use it. i would never use a fluoro leader if ii'm pitching a spot where fish are going to be able to get any sort of leverage.
  20. well it isn't really comparing apples to apples. fluorocarbon is a different line all together from mono. if you are referring to the stretch of invisX, it isn't as stretchy as say trilene XL but it does stretch a lot more than your normal flurocarbon. it does however handle a lot better than most fluorocarbons in terms of line management. personally i don't like the line but there are others that won't use anything but invisX.
  21. InvizX* it's a good line. it's got a lot more stretch than i like in a fluorocarbon though.
