  1. Champ 736 had been out for years
  2. You need to talk to an insurance agent and ask them your specifics. Theres so many policies that can fit you needs that very few are identical.
  3. Its cheap peace of mind. Always have a mechanic go through it top to bottom
  4. Check your owners manual and read all the BRP bullitens carefully. There was a bulliten released for e-tecs and installing talons without a jackplate.

  6. x2. You got hosed on labor..or suckered. One of the two at least. If he did a good job and all is well then I guess I could live with it but his labor is outrageous on that small of a job.
  7. Ranger was the first to doaway with it in 88 or 89. Most companies followed suit shortly after. Pretty much any fiberglass bass boat 2000-present won't have a wood transom.
  8. The new champ 744 has the same action as the dx744 of old. 3/8oz weight + plastic is max i would throw and even then its pushing it.
  9. Coming from somebody that is actually fish these, 1 ounce is way too much for the 744. 3/4 would push it but do what you want. Again, champ 765. 735 would be fine if you stay at 3/4 max.
  10. Champ 765 will work the best as a jig/carolina rod.
  11. I would talk to your dealer about options. Jackplates aren't that expensive. There's hours of information on the bulletin merc put out in 2013 about how using sandwich brackets voids their warranty. I'm not 100% on this but I think there used to be an acceptable bracket to use w/o a jackplate but I'm not sure if it's still around. Either way, the sandwich bracket voids the warranty and I would talk to a local certified Merc dealer/mechanic if I were you.
  12. Raider likes to use pictures of the women he's dating(current one is the best looking of the bunch). Raider seems like he knows how to party but is not a true stickman.
  13. Just a heads up, if you have a Merc engine that is still in warranty, the use of a sandwich bracket will void the warranty completely. You have to use a jackplate /w the right bracket to use talons/power poles if you don't want to void the warranty. If yours isn't in warranty, pay no attention. I've read it's pretty easy to install.
  14. Still need 1 more ladies!
  15. You keep referencing wanting to use the rod in heavy cover and pull fish out of heavy cover while using big baits. The 765 has more backbone and handles a heavier weight better than the 735. My 735 has had a frog tied on it for 4+ years and has almost never come off. It's a great frog rod and that's about all i like using it for. You can flip, pitch, and punch up to about 1 1/4oz on the 765. I would never put a 1oz weight on the 735. The longer rod will be more beneficial in deep water and Crig fishing for long casts and picking up more line.
  16. Should be less than $100 between parts and labor. You could probably stand there and watch them do it it shouldn't take long as long as it's not difficult to reach.
  17. Dobyns 765 would cover all those better than the 735
  18. Overstockbait just got in 20,000 more yamamoto bags. Senkos are marked down to 3.99. They had tons of the popular colors. I got in on quite a few. There's still some good ones left.
  19. No... in order to not void the Mecury warranty, a power pole must use a jackplate and the correct bracket (this is all boats, not just nitro). Nitros dont come with jackplates stock. It's a 380$ option..get one and you're fine.
  20. Those popet valves where the devil for those yamahas and the mysterious idle overheating. The popet valve and/or spring could be stuck at idle.
