  1. Just sold my old Ranger yesterday and am in the process of buying a 2016 z18 /w the 150 4 stroke. I found out the new black/grey 2017 color scheme is available on the 2016 z18 as well. Saw one down at bass pro in St. Charles, MO and that was it for me. Pretty excited. I'm more of the computer savvy type and not outboard mechanically inclined. I do my own water pump/impeller/plugs/LU oil/ etc but beyond that I'm lost. One of the reasons I'm going brand new is the Merc 3 year warranty and the 6 year extension on top of the 3 is $1200 or less if you shop a bit. I also loved the ride in the z18 and the storage lockers and center storage is EXACTLY what I wanted in a boat. No brainier for somebody like me. I'm going a few adds on like a powerpole, graphs, different 3 bank charger, hot foot, but those are minor. I really, really like the Z18.
  2. Yup. VMC had a really small heavy flipping hook I use for small beavers and bb crickets
  3. Didn't take advantage of anything on sale but I did drink quite a few strawberritas next to my sister in laws pool....which led to buying a 90$ worth of dresge jigs and dredge jig heads :).
  4. Noticable, yes disappointed, no
  5. Anything firetiger in stained smallie water
  6. 1/4 oz is a good all around/starting point for a texas rig. 3/16 would also suffice. I use 1/2 jigs a lot and go up and down in weight depending on how the fish want the fall or the cover I'm fishing.
  7. I too was hoping for a JR size bug
  8. No..... The 735 is a heavier powered and faster action rod than the 734 and by all accounts a "heavy". The 735 is one of the most popular frog rods to date. The 735 is also a popular jig rod.
  9. I've handled them before in store. As far as house brand rods, they are probably the best I've ever felt in hand. Ridiculously balanced and very comfortable. Local Cabelas is out of them.
  10. I would rather use heavy fluoro in grass than have to use braid in wood/rock. 20# shooter
  11. That Rattler Outside Uses SlimE Redundantly
  12. If the ramp is pretty steep and wet you may have some slippage issues but aside from that as long as the ramp is dry you'll be fine. A lot of people put sandbags into the back of their smaller rear wheel drive trucks in the winter to compensate for the lack of weight. You could always add a few sandbags to the back of your SUV if you're really worried about it. The only time I would really be concerned in your case would be on a steep ramp.
  13. Welcome. Your invite will be sent when payment is received. Send it to the address provided in the PM
  14. I would swap your champ 702 for the dx742c HP. I just got one and plan on getting another. Sweet rod. You'll love that dx795. Good addition. Awesome flipping/punching rod. You may want to try spinnerbaits/buzz/chatter on a 3 power. I typically prefer a heavier powered rod and use th 3 powers for all those techniques . Lots like a 4 though. looks good though! Still can't believe you're using the 3 power for 1/2oz jigs amd trigs. You crazy.
  15. already got 5!
  16. Perhaps you didn't realize all internet content doesn't revolve around you and cater to your likes/dislikes. it's not Kevinator1Tube. Lots of young anglers like these "unboxings". If you don't like it, move on. Nobody is forcing you to watch them...
  17. ....its 11$ for a necessary part. Stop being cheap.
  18. Did you check your fuse?
  19. Pearl! i bough glacier thinking it was white with gold fleck. I was mistaken. Its a very translucent opaque with gold flake.
  20. That's actually a really good point . Didn't take into account the Flex spot which is another needed spot. Made RB/WR +2 (play 3/5 max on team) and increased bench from 6 to 7. I'll change it accordingly if we get more than 8 this year.
  21. I would just call shimano and ask if they can replace it. Worst case is they say no and you're in the same spot you're in now. I cant think of any permenant fix for a reel foot. JB weld probably would give out after a while with stress placed on it.
  22. The more teams that join the deeper I'll make the bench. Last year we had a +1 or +2 cap for rb/wr and the waiver wire was still stacked and got a little mundane halfway through the season and there was very little add/drops as most people could set and forget. For example, I believe when Charles went down last year, both West and Ware sat on the wire for 2 weeks because nobody needed them. That's the biggest reason I made it 3 rb/3wr for an 8 team and a short bench to make it really competitive.
  23. 8 team: 1st:150 2nd:50 10 team 1st:200 2nd:50 12 team 1st:225 2nd 50 3rd 25
  24. We had a vote for both 1/2 and full point but more people wanted standard last year. the addition of an extra wr and rb along with an alteady shallow bench makes it really interesting for bye weeks and alters draft strategy a little.
