  1. I'm going to get a jump start on this a little earlier than last year because it seemed like it went down to the wire to fill the spots. Last year we did this for members and it went really well. Draft is a Snake style draft and it tentatively set for Aug 21 6:30 pm EST. Draft order is randomized 1 hour prior to the draft. -Date and time can be adjusted to accommodate. I try to set drafts for the week of or after the 4th preseason game and on a Sunday. Just let me know if the date conflicts and we can change it. I also went to 1 division of teams instead of 2. 6 teams make the 3 week playoff regardless of 8/10/12 team league. The following is the scoring STANDARD system that is played on ESPN: Points wise it's the same but I made a few tweaks. I eliminated the kicker position and made it a 3wr/3rb instead of 2/2. Last season, the waiver wire was ridiculously flooded /w free agents so this will help add some value. The number on the left is what you start and the number on the right is the MAX number you can have on your roster. If we get this up to a 10 team from the 8 team we had last year, I will make it 3 wr/2 RB. If anybody has any thing they preferred or disliked from last year, feel free to voice your opinion and we will discuss it. 2. It might look clean but if it's sat as long as it did you don't know how it was cared for aside from being garage kept. How old is the fuel? Are the fuel lines the upgraded ethanol resistant variant if not what condition are the current ones in and was the boat fuel ever treated? Do all the electronics in the boat work and is there any bad wiring? Boat looks great and that motor looks spotless but there's a few things internally that need to be checked out. 150% you need to take the outboard to a reputable Johnson/Evinrude dealer even if you have to pay 1-200$ to have compression, leak down test, power pack, rectifier/regulator, tachometer reading correctly, low and WOT RPM's set correctly on the timing wheel(verify on tachometer-RPMs will be higher on muffs, check in water if possible), all carbs opening in sync, lower unit gear condition, prop shaft condition, etc. don't just run an outboard on muffs. Make sure you check it with back pressure in the water. WOT should I think 5k-5500 RPMS I believe. HArd to say top end speed w/o knowing prop. If everything physically checks out to what it visually appears to be, You're stealing that boat for 6500. Good find. Good luck to you.
  3. Lots of people use talons. It's pretty much preference. Powerpoles use a hydraulic pump while Talons run off your battery. The talon housing also stays stationary which could be an issue if you have to back into a garage with a lower overhead while the power pole can be lowered incrementally to get in. I think talons to make a tilt bracket now though. Regardless, both do the same thing.
  4. Go new a get a motor with a warranty if at all possible. A new tracker 175 isnt terribly expensive. Get a toolbox and have the correct sizes for everything you may need to change. extra trolling motor prop and sheer pins everything slone said is spot on. im in the ptocess of going new and coming from somebody coming from an 18ft glass ranger with 7' rod lockers...get something with 7'6 or 8' rod lockers. It will make a world of difference. Storage is somethiny to look at also. Minimal storage will eventually be a pain, especially with a family or fishing partner. Whatever you do, don't settle. Do it right the first time and get what you want.
  5. I would be leary of that 95 psi . I would have the compression tested again and check that cylinder. Ive always gone by within 10psi on all cylinders. 15 difference on only 1 would have been a big red flag. Did you test drive the boat prior to buying? you need to have the boat looked at. Could be something minor but if it could also lead to a blown powerhead and you'll be SOL.
  6. Bad spring or missing a shim. Make sure you check under both the cast control knob as well as under the side plate bearing.
  7. They do.you have to call them.
  8. The only Bass Mafia I buy is the Red/Black. Other than that I use the waterproof planos /w the red gasket. Love those. I don't like the clear Bass Mafia boxes any more or less than your 3700 plano so spending the extra money wasn't worth it. The red/Black ones are super nice though.
  9. Nice new ride!
  10. Their "bream" color is traditionally called magic craw or blue craw. It"s pretty much the only variant of green pumpkin i throw and have for years now. All my custom jig skirts have some sort of magic craw/green pumpkin/brown and burnt orange and use trailers that have a Magic Craw. It just works.
  11. Dirty Jigs just makes a great jig. I use their No Jacking Flipping Jig for most everything and that hook is a beast. I don't like my swim jigs to have that monster of a hook so I don't use the swim jig you are wondering about. I have used their light wire and standard swim jigs and for a mass production jig, they swim much better and straight without turning over then you would expect. I would image the california swim jig would give you great results.
  12. kalins or action plastics will have what you need
  13. I didn't say it was... ....
  14. Dabbing is one of the dumbest trends that I have ever seen and people look like foolish morons doing it. With that said...do it. You'll look like a complete moron in front of the adults and staff but the entire student body will get a kick out of it and remember it for life.
  15. You can contact Delaware Valley tackle on this board. He's a site sponsor and offers a discount. If he can't help you right away I can help you
  16. Open up the reel l and deep clean it. Clean all the old grease off the gears in the internals and soak the bearings in acetone lighter fluid or brake cleaner. Dry everything and then relubricate
  17. Yes and yes. You need the reel cleaned.
  18. Hard to say which you would prefer. You definitely use lighter powered rods than what is traditionally used.
  19. Champ 704CB - 4-8ft cranks - i would use the 705cb or cb glass here Champ 705CB - 10-18ft cranks - 100% the 764 or 805 would be better. 705 is not a good deep diving rod. Champ 703C - 3/8-1/2oz T Rig - personally feel your 2 powers light here. I use the dx745 for these. 703 is a senko rod and will be incredibly overloaded . ChampX 703C - 3/8-1/2oz Jig - same as above ten fold. ChampX 744C - C Rig - be fine at 1/2oz or less. Anything over id opt for the champ 765 or dx 745
  20. No idea what i typed lol. I should have said " get them" so who knows what my phone did.
  21. Most likely never. If he can ****** them before me, it's fair game.
  22. I would be looking for some TDZ type R + and drop some 7:1 gears in them. Love that reel. I buy everyone I come across. I'd look at the Steez SV and 103SV. It will cover pretty much everything you need. Side note, I'm not sure if you have used any of the rods you've ordered yet since switching to all Dobyns but, personally, there's 5-6 on there I think you will feel isn't nearly enough rod for what you are intending to use them for. If you have and like them,..different strokes.
