Anybody use this box? I keep walking by one at a local tackle shop and just never pull the trigger. Just so happens I need a new jerkbait box due to latch failure. How is the quality of these older FTOs? Are these boxes rare? I've never seen one..

depends on current speed, wind, depth, bait, and such. There is no one magical weight.

The white gear that is "plastic" is normal. I'm not crazy about aluminium gears but it really depends on the quality of metal they used. The "carbon fiber" handle they are using is worth maybe 20$ at best. There are some handles that advertise as "carbon fiber" and aren't of any quality. Having not held the reel I cannot say for certain but a 45$ reel almost certainly isn't using a quality handle. You can find some really nice CF handles now for 28$. Have a feeling with regular use this reel will become a paper weight.

I use swim senkos in both sizes. Tail sizes are nearly identical. Length and how much you bite off is the biggest factor in a 4 vs 5 senko. They do not las long but are great action wise. The skinny dipper is a great trailet as well. Rage craws are a great trailer as well. I really use the skinny dipper and rage craw the most.

Best would be Sunline Shooter and Seaguar Tatsu. Sunline FC Sniper is pretty awesome stuff for the price though. Worst is without a doubt Berkley Vanish and Stren Fluorocast
