New Mojo Bass
You aren't contributing anything at all and offering no basis for your senselessness. This topic has been discussed, at length, by professionals far more experience in this than anybody on here. The only reason the St. Croix rep told you the same blank is because "both are SCIII". He's correct about that but that's as far as it goes. The Avid blank is rolled here in the U.S in Park Falls, WI while the Rage blank is not. Common Knowledge for anybody to know. The Avid uses a different scrim, mandrel, and Fibers than the Rage. Again, this has been discussed before and you would know that if you bothered to search the topic. The Legend Elite and Legend Xtreme are both SCV blanks but they are not the same blank. This isn't a difficult thing to understand. Do some research. There's countless topics on this all over the net from people asking the same thing you're trying to proclaim. Here's a quote from board contributor Mr. Hovenac who is regarded as one of the finest rod builders in the industry. If you want to try to call him wrong, good luck with that one.

Shad Rap Set-up...
Any medium or medium light spinning rod and 6-8# mono will work fine. Braid also will not be an issue with the softer rod.

New Mojo Bass
We are giving you an opinion. It's a fact. It was discussed countless times years ago in the rods came out . Professionals on other forms that are far more versed in these things than any of us are I've already explained how just because it says SC3 . doesn't mean it's the same blank. If you bothered to use Google for five seconds you would know that and find countless detailed explanations as to why . This is not a difficult concept to understand. They aren't the same blank. They utilize similar materials but don't have the same scrim, mandrel, or carbon fibers. If blank materials are different then the blanket self is different..I don't know why you're having such a hard time understanding that

So, according you, you're saying the new Mojo and the current Avid are the same?

New Mojo Bass
Just because it says ScIII doesn't mean it's "the same blank". The scrim, resin, and mandrel are all different from the Avid. That's like saying the Legend Elite and Legend Xtreme use the same blank as they are both SCV. Both utilize similar materials but aren't the same blank. Little bit of research never hurt.

First Broken Rod Tip or weak guides :(
Try and talk to Dan or Harry. I've ran into issues talking /w random customer service reps at St. Croix in the past trying to get individual guides. Dan or Harry will take care of you.

broke my rod this weekend
89$ for the 7'1 rage is about as good as it gets in that price range. Components aren't the best but you won't beat it's blank for 89$. Assuming you're talking about trece rods in the series named after a horror movie and want to stay in that price range, I'd go Rage. If you want to step it up, I got the new DX742c HP and it's pretty amazing.

It might but frogs are ridiculously easy to walk. The Palomar works fine.

Best frogs
Snag Proof, Live Target and Booyah are the only ones I use. I really like the poppin' pad crasher. I can't really get a full season out of 1 Pad Crasher frog but they are the best bang for the buck frog out there. Paying retail, I'd just get some pad crashers and call it a day. Dicks ran sales on LiveTargets for 4-5$ a piece. I'd opt for those at that price over anything. The phatfrog from Snag Proof is a great one as well. I carry 3 colors: White, Black/Brown, Green/Bullfrog.

Tackle Warehouse Sale
There's generally a sale during the Bassmaster Classic for certain items. I believe the only store-wide sales are Memorial day, Tax Stimulus , Fourth of July and Black Friday. Memorial Day and Black Friday are usually 20% off , 4th of July is 15%, and the tax sale is i think 10% off storewide. There's smaller sales throughout the year like Fathers day, Bassmaster classic, might be some others I can't recall but they aren't storewide. They are select items only. Most vendors like Monster, BTD, HisTacklebox, KrugerFarms, TackleDirect, etc have sales throughout the year and generally have a higher % off sale than TW. TW will price match though as long as the exact item they have is available through TW.

Help with Boca Bearings
There is no such thing as a RH and LH bearing. You use the same bearings for right hand reels you do for your left hand reels. To enhance casting performance, you replace the two spool bearings. The pro qualifer has a bearing in the side plate and a bearing on the spool shaft. (each are 3x10x4mm Both of those need replacing. Removing the spool bearing will require a speciality tool that boca and hedgehog studios both make. Anything after that is unnecessary to use bocas. I'm not sure where you are looking on the bay at bocas but I wouldn't recommend buying bocas from anybody except boca themselves or an actual reputable boca dealer. There are more than your fair share of counterfeits on the market. I'm not familiar /w the Orra but you will need 2 bearings for that reel as well. (spool/side plate)

Buzz Frogs and Casting Distance
If you aren't getting good distance /w a horny toad or rage toad, look at your set up. I throw them on my frog rod (Dobyns 735) or a Dobyns 734 if both are working. Both cast a long way /w a screw lock 6/0? (might be 5) hook /w no weight added.

- Carrot Stix....reels?
I don't know of a company that has more rod breakage issues combined /w awful customer service. Why would anybody want anything to do with them.?- Braid or fluoro?
I don't like braid unless I'm fishing in slop. I use fluorocarbon for the things you reference.- Jigs from TW - Any good ones?
Yes. I throw that jig in 3/8 or 1/2oz 90% of the time. If you're looking to drag a jig, go with a football head.- Jigs from TW - Any good ones?
Dirty Jigs No jack Flippin' and Pitchin' Jig. Great Jigs. - Carrot Stix....reels?
