More times than not, yes. If im given an option I would always choose the downstream point. Always check both(sand drops) If theres an opening or closing dam from a another backwater at the front of an island, the top point of an island can often times be the feature fish hang on if its the result of an eddy. Im also referncing larger river systems like the Mississippi, not smaller interior rivers/tributaries. Sand drops are one of those things that most peopke idle by and dont think anything of them but can hold tons of fish.

This has always bewildered me for spring floods or just river fishing in general. You can go into the greatest backwater area /w perfect isolated laydowns or an isolated rock lined shore, all of which can hold zero fish, and they fish just stack up on a sand drop on an island point that is completely featureless.

Swim jigs -dobyns 734-7:1 OG zillion-15# fluoro chatterbaits/spinners-dobyns 733-tuned curado 51e-15# fluoro i use them because they work really well for the weights i use and areas i throw them in

A football jig typically has a lighter wire hook then your every day casting and flipping Jigs to go along with a larger head design. A rod that is typically one power down then what I use allows me to not overwork the bait along with letting a fish load up easier in deeper water. i'm also not fishing in cover and almost always fishing boulders or wing dams with a football jig so pulling a fish out of cover is in a necessity it's more so keeping smallmouth and in current . I've tried both the DX 745 and nrx894(my jig rod) and jigs with heavier wire hooks. I did not have the same success

Typically a longer ride in the medium heavy range. With my jig rides I typically always go lean on the heavier side power wise because I would rather have the power then not have it when needed… Except for football Jigs. I don't use bone jarring and swing for the fence hook sets on football Jigs. I let the fish load up and real set them so I go down a power generally in the rod

I think they're comfortable but I can certainly understand why someone thinks they're not. My NRX is more or less custom but it has a stock real seat. I have a daiwa TDZ type R plus on mine and it fits perfectly when I palm and I have very large hands.

766 would be mu choice if using 1.5oz. 1oz amd undrer the 765 would suffice. 766 is the beefiesy rod they make. However, the dx795 is on sale for 199 and you can save even more by using giftcards. Thats the best punching rod ive ever used.

I thought Hagane is now taking the place of their older "Paladin technology"..if I read what little I could find on it correctly. So if their Paladin gearing was cold forged aluminium..and Hagane is a slight upgrade or w/e to it..their gearing is Hagane but some of their body materials are also Hagane as well making their framing materials (that are alluminium) made of the same materials that their gears are even if the reels /w xship are using brass gears? with the sideplate off that sound isn't too abnormal because tolerances aren't fastened down w/o the side plate. With the side plate on though, it just sounds like something isn't seated correctly but then again your phone could be amplifying the sound to make it more than it is. HArd to say really.

Aside from I guess TorqueConvertor, there probably isn't a single person that has actually used InvisX that would argue it has "less stretch" than most monos. I would assume he was referring to good handling /w InvisX and low stretch /w shooter and just didn't type it out coherently.

He didn't say fluorocarbons don't stretch....he said low stretch in regards to shooter...to which he is correct.
