  1. I look at it keep it in mind but will fish regardless because I believe moon phase and other conditions affect fish also. I found your observations true over the summer here, and pretty much thought like you did. But this winter here a stationary high sat on top of use much of December and January it was like 30.30 most days and I had better luck when it steady than when it dropped. Gonna keep track and see if the summer plays out the same as last year.
  2. Man, just saw you guys forecast....Sunny Florida is looking better and better eh? It was 39 here this morning, next week the lowest projected temp is 50 spring is here!!! errr on its way!!! Stay warm man, you'll be fishing in no time. lol
  3. I would say $50-120. Covers a wide range of brands from pflueger to Shimano, daiwa and Abu in there. Some that can cover fresh and/or salt water in that range too.
  4. Yeah love the 100's and agree with the post above 100%. The 100's run down to 5' which is a foot or two deeper than most all square bills. The Bandits come in a nice variety of colors too, the green chart blue back is a favorite of my son. I love the purple tiger in the morning.
  5. Really. That is cool there are a few well bred ones out there and you are right they are some coin lol I had a Johnson type American bulldog. All the bull breeds are favorites of mine. My wife especially loves the English but they are out of reach for now.
  6. What kind of bulldog? I assume American bulldog of some type?
  7. It was no disrespect to you as an artist. I couldn't think of anything really for the popmax, maybe something like the purple tiger color bandit makes, theirs is kinda cheesey. If you could fade the purple to to white with a pink belly do some honeycomb pattern ontop atleast an idea. but like I said, bluegill, sunfish, perch in a 110,see if something those colors on that chasis produce since it is not a current option.
  8. Thomas Kinkade fine art. LMAO that is a good one. But I do agree with RW, I couldn't think of altering either. Their finishes are just too sweet and the craftsmans ship is outstanding. But the 110 seems lacking a bluegill/sunfish pattern in their lineup.
  9. I was probably 6 or 7. My dad took me and my brother to a golf course pond, we used cheese to catch bluegill. We would go a hand full of times during the summer, camping in western Md. nothing really serious floating rapalas, grubs on a jig head where staples. My uncle took us a few times, he would dip minnows and that is when I caught my first bass. I fished here and there through out higschool maybe a couple times a year, then I started striper fishing with a buddy one summer the year I graduated. Once I went to college and work, then marriage and kids, I didn't pick a rod up again until I took my oldest boy fishing a couple years ago and I was hooked and I have my kids hooked too. Good clean fun, keeps us out of trouble. lol
  10. I believe it was stated by a former employee that they are manufactured by Big Bite Bait. I like Big Bite's got some good cheap baits, they stock them at academy sports....another plus to Gander they have free shipping.
  11. Good baits are like good dogs, there where you find them. I think too many people get stuck on wrappers, brand names etc. There are plenty of smaller bait companies or knock-offs(some even improve the design or better colors) that you can get close to those numbers you refered to. It is just like Hooligan said in the refusal thread...Black bass will eat almost anything you throw infront of them or something to that effect. Paying top dollar for disposable plastics is a luxury, not a must to catch fish.
  12. Al Kaline, Larry Dolby, Ozzie Smith, Eddie Murray, Yogi Berra, Stan Musial, and Maury Wills. They were all at various baseball card shows when I was about 10-13 yrs old, Wills was by far the nicest and chatted for like 15 minutes about playing highschool baseball, stealing bases and his career highlights. Stan also talked to us and reminised with my Pops about old sportsman park and smacking them over the roof in left field. Had a chance to meet Buck O'neil at one of the shows, regret not shaking his hand and telling him how much I appreciated hearing his stories. The only other famous person I will mention was kinda like meeting him. We ate lunch on black friday one year next to Peyton Manning we used to go to NYC frequently and right by FOA there used to be a McAnns pub. He came in with his leather and fur coat, sat next to our table with his wife, ordered nachos and a pitcher of diet coke with lemon. I didn't actually meet him because I refused to talk to him because he played for that team that was stolen away from Baltimore in the night.(how I was raised - Colts are dead to us) I was with my wife and her friend who had no clue who he was. I told her and people were walking over to him and she was like go get his autograph but I stuck to my guns for principle, didn't let the old hometown down LOL

The .454 casul is sweet! Run across many brown bear out there on the lake LOL IMO one of the most badass hand guns on the planet, especially the Alaskan model.
  14. He was so deadly as a reliever but his wish is to start. It is scary, he throws so hard, more innings just means more chance to get injured.
  15. Man my buddy went out this weekend ,too cold and just couldn't make time myself, but he said it was good fishing up here in the Jax area aswell despite the weather.
  16. Don't think Clint Eastwood's Heartbreak Ridge has been listed. That one was pretty good.
  17. Howard is looking good so far, heard Miggy hit a 3 run shot for the tigers. feeling good on my draft so far. My head to head league is down one team and yet to set a draft date. It is an auto which can be fun, a scramble in the days after to pick up the under valued or overlooked wavier claims. It is strange seeing houston in the american league, but atleast KC will have to work to finish last in the central. LOL
  18. I agree with you about Joe but the thing you brought up about the GM is totally right. Ozzie is great I cannot deny that. He has really found some hidden gems in the draft. Very happy with how he scouts and runs his business.
  19. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-preston-ravens-joe-flacco-column-0303-20130302,0,3349989.column Good read. The plan becomes a little clearer now.
  20. If you have the cash go with the new, offers lighter weight and better flexibility with your line options. If not the old one comes with two spools through braid on one for times when you need it.

The best dogs I have owned were shelter dogs, have had purebred small and large and will tell you puppies suck. I have acquired dogs at various ages. A dog will bond with its owner regardless of age, they know who feeds it. lol IMO shelters such as the ASCPA and independent Rescues, if you have a breed in mind there is probably a local rescue devoted to it, are the way to go. They take time to work and train the dogs while they are there versus animal control who really just hold them there. The SPCA offer free OB training if you get a dog, and if you choose to go another route they are an affordable training option. The AKC website is a good place to start looking at breeds, it offers info and lifestyle requirements also dogbreedinfo.com a place to start. My wife spent time working with a greyhound rescue. Former racing dogs are probably the easiest going and least requirements. You can get culls and retirees in a range of ages, usually 2-5 yrs and a range of sizes 40 pounds up to 90 pounds all they want is to sleep and be loved. Hope this helps.
  22. These would be my Favorites. Also add Sands of Iwojima and the Green Berets. But Sands would have to be my absolute favorite.
  23. We all know the REAL MVP was jacoby jones, run back a kick, catch an under thrown ball from the NFL's highest paid player fall down get up and score....just say'n lol
  24. Yeah that it right there, looks like a pay cut for Brady but I believe 100% guaranteed in the new deal. He will pocket more than the old deal in the long run.
