  1. I can't agree more with you, he is great as a closer. I saw people complaining though. I don't think chapman would last more than a season or two as starter. This will deffinately extend his career. Hope he wises up and embraces the choice.
  2. Got a few yesterday on senko style and zoom vibe craws and a couple today on rattlesnakes. Was fishing the dirty water on the wind blown bank at the same pond. They still seem to be biting. I was fishing slow retrieve or a slow sweep and letting it set. No weight on the senkos and 1/16 on the other baits. So just go light n lazy IMO. I have had luck with 10" ribbon tails in similar conditions this winter. the more current or wind the less you have to do, just move it to reposition the bait. Good luck, find what they want and you will get a few.
  3. I use zoom 6" or big bite bait Kreit tail 8" the zooms are more durable but the big bites are bigger for a good price when a bigger profile is wanted and they come scented. But have had my eye on El Grande Gila monsters and Gila jrs. For a while and read in bassmaster that one of the pro likes them which makes them even more intriguing.
  4. That is what I thought. Thanks. Rhino I wasn't disrespecting the technology or craftsmanship rather I was just a little surprise NASCAR doesn't require more to be spent on their safety development/practices. A chassis that crumpled better would probably help a lot but cost the teams more $ to develop and more $ to replace a car after a wreck.
  5. So do NASCAR drivers were the HANS device?
  6. Will do. Hope he gets well soon. God bless.
  7. One ESPN analyst is projecting the O's to win the East......Could be a rematch of the 1970 series. LOL
  8. Yeah the one crash with Rockenfeller was on the mulsane striaght were they can hit over 200 mph plus or minus.and it was similar to the hamlin crash, clipped turned 90 degrees into the wall. check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cq5eRI_IRs0&feature=player_detailpage#t=457s Your right Tipptruck these are no joke man, with these vertibrate fractures are they are just a hair away from being paralysed or dead, really if the vertibrate touchs the spinal cord or worse severs it. They end up like Dale Sr. which is unfortunate and totally preventable. And that is the thing here, the stock classes of sports cars where that are constructed using road cars with portions being tube frame etc (similar to nascar - tube frame and sheet metal) but never hit the speeds that the prototypes or "stock" cars do on a nascar track. The GT class may make it to 130-150 mph, but not 200 mph and they do retain the road car cockpit with a cage welded into it versus an entire tube chasis. Seems like NASCAR is stuck with the line drawn at trying to be stock and simple chasis yet achieve mind blowing speeds at the risk of the drivers.
  9. So how about this week! not so boring huh, in any of the top motorsports. NASCAR has the Lagano vs. Hamlin thing going down F1 has the Vettel vs Webber thing going down. Which was spared a Nico vs Lewis because those two actually acted like men. Speaking on the hamlin situation. I seen the wreck and am specifically intrugued by the car. Man it looks solid, waaay too solid didn't crumple or degrade that much which leads to the severity of the injury to Hamlin. Also NASCAR as some rediculously sturdy walls that are unforgiving. Looking at the cars the safety technology is very poor, IMHO the technology are the cars a somewhat poor for the speeds they attain. I recently watched a movie on Netflix called Truth in 24 II which cronicles the R18 in 2011, specifically this was after the new regs were employed by Le Mans requiring a closed cockpit for prototype race cars. The monocoque for the R18 was designed to exceed safety guidelines and it performed flawlessly in the two major crashes of Mcnish and Rockefeller. Which if you haven't seen either I suggest you YOUTUBE them. Spectaular! Both drivers walked away without even a concusion. But why is nascar so slack on safety? especially after Dale Sr.
  10. I have him as SS with Miggy C at 3B and Howard at 1B....Asdruble C SS for the pads is my replacement. Hope it heals up nice and fast because I think we would do well on a rebound this year in LAs lineup. And with Asdruble I am losing the power and RBI numbers. Edit: I meant Everth Cabrera SS for the Pads
  11. I think that statement above is true. I think people tend to go to walmart or dicks and pickup whatever is on sale or a lure they are familiar with, senkos, flukes, trick worms and ribbontails. Same goes for color of a lure too, people tend to buy watermelon, shad etc. throw something a little off, like a red bug or a blue or a tail dipped in a color. I agree with Felix about the boat. I like my quiet bank fishing time, watch the sun come up catch a few fish, no nagging bosses or screaming kids or motors or nothing. I would love one for the family and maybe do some inshore fishing then I think about all the up keep and money, they seem like too much trouble. Especially for bass fishing, it is such a one dimensional boat.
  12. Big Bite Baits trick sticks and Bitters Salty Slings seem to catch as many fish for me as the original pack of GYB senkos. I personally wouldn't waste the money on GYB or try looking on overstock bait
  13. Quick now everybody grab him. LOL well he is a FA in the public league......I did my other draft, interesting lineup I have about 5 wavier claims in and will post for your viewing pleasure/critique once they clear 3/27
  14. I love using google earth. The feature that lets you view aerial photos up to 1994 is especially helpful with fishing the local retention ponds because I can see what year they were constructed, and many times you can get a photo of them in the process of construction and tell the depths, points, humps, forebays, flats, riprap and culvert locations.
  15. Yeap know it is not snow or nothing but we have another 3 or 4 nights into the 30's a few have frost warnings. Can't wait for the mornings when it is 60 plus for highs lighting the topwater up. seems like everyweek it is "next week"
  16. I fish mainly in the morning for an hour or two, mainly an hour give or take is what i actually get. For the year so far I have fished a total of 40 hours about and caught 52 fish with over half being in the 10-15" range. with about a quarter smaller than 10" and a quater of the 52 bigger. I would say average 1-3 fish some days maybe 10 some 0. But I fish a variety of ponds big and small, young and old(a young pond to me is constructed 5 years ago or less) it all depends on the weather, type of pond and what I feel like using that day. So like Felix said it really depends on a lot of things as long as you are happy with the outcome.

Sounds like a good time, nice fish.....little chilly but hey a cold day on the water catching fish with friends beats a warm day at home right.
  18. This is a good read...http://touch.baltimoresun.com/#section/830/article/p2p-75014644/ The browns paid Kruger 5 million more for his 5 yr deal than the ravens paid Elvis in his.
  19. Even though Reed is gone...Pollard too. The new acquisions are starting to make the defense interesting agiain. Two DE allowing Ngata to play NT and crush the small centers and now this http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/baltimore-ravens-agree-terms-elvis-dumervil-205838180--nfl.html with the draft and the corner backs we retained I think the Def will be ok now, maybe better against the run than last year. Now the real question is can Mr. Joe live up to that new contract and make Ozzie legendary. LOL
  20. Nice setup, good luck. Don't forget to post up a pic of that first fish on your new combo.
  21. Yep and crabs, other shell stuff like clams I heard people taking a hoe and scraping the barnacles to chum the water crabs, shrimp and/or pieces of clams are used as bait.

  23. d**n it can an went fast, I thought it was in march for some reason. I seemed more fun and find a boat is why I mentioned it to AK. So next tourney up I am hearing about is the April redfish.
  24. Best answer....and is it any coincidence that is came for a member from WV....sorry dude couldn't resist I lived up in Winchester and mingled with the fine folks from Martinsburg. It was MTV that killed your rep
  25. Thank you sir, and all this kid talk makes me recall why SHE says I need sick days.....She wants to send me to the doc and have him fix me like a dog.
