Have you ever caught a fish without hooking it in the mouth?
I caught about a 13" Rainbow Trout, while jigging a small spoon. The line had wrapped around the fish, and kinda lasso'd it. The hook was about 15 inches below the fish in a huge knot. Luckily my girlfriend was with me or even she wouldn't have believed it

About public domain water rights
Virginia GIS is flawed. There's a local lake I'd like to fish, and have researched it through the city's own website on GIS. It clearly shows that the land I have permission to fish is on the lake. Actually it shows that one cove that the end of it is on the property I have permission to fish, and the boundary actually goes about 15 feet out into the water. I asked the local game warden about this and even showed him print out of the GIS map. He was stumped on whose property it was. I asked if I fished it and he was called what would happen. He just said I'd get a ticket and could go to court to try and prove ownership. He has no clue how to find out the exact gps boundary. It's complicated, and if the lake wasn't amazing, it wouldn't even be worth it. Anyways just take the info on the city's website on the GIS map with a grain of salt

Favorite bed fishing baits.
Nothing gets a reaction the way a 8+ inch plastic lizard will.

Hampton Roads bank bass fishing
IF you go to BPSto fish, watch out for snakes. That lake seems to have a million. The rocks between BPS and Joes Crab Shack almost always have a snake or two on it and it's just 10 feet from the parking lot.

Small crankbait ID
Definitely the Strike King Bitsy Minnow. A killer crankbait for bluegill, crappie, perch, small bass

How many days have you been out fishing this year?
I'll be just over 300 days this years, it helps I work at the lake, so I can fish before, during (lunch break), and after work daily

Current Prevalence of Alternative Sinker Material
I against lead bans, PERIOD! If you do your own research, and not read all the paperwork from the people trying to ban lead, you'd see very few waterfowl die of lead poisoning. If lead was so deadly to wildlife, why isn't Gettysburg, PA just full of dead animals? There must be millions of everything from cannonball shrapnel to musketballs scattered all over that area.

LC Braid & Mono
If anyone buys any in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 lb test, or any of the braid, and don't like it. Message me, I'll gladly trade something for any new in the package

LC Braid & Mono
I bought a ton of the stuff like 3 months back, when TW first put it on clearance. I love the 8 lb test for spinning applications, and the 12 on my baitcaster works well. I love the stuff. I have about 20 spools left, but may get more since it's cheap and hard to find. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the color of the line, it's like a mint color, but the fish don't seem to mind. Just got a spool of the braid last week, so it's still being tested, but so far I'm a fan of that as well

Does anyone use *** Reels?
I don't see how I could get in trouble as I was just looking for honest review on a cheap reel I found. I know nothing about the company. I have plenty of the Pflueger reels 2 Trions, 3 Presidents, and 3 President Limited Editions). I was mostly looking at a small ultralight reel for trout, crappie, etc. For bass I'll stick to my name brands. Thanks for your imput. I agree with the reviews onlne though with this company. All of them seem like inside jobs.

Does anyone use *** Reels?
I see *** on Facebook and online often. Has anyone tried their reels? I'm tempted to get one to try because the prices are great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MA54PVJ?th=1&psc=1 The description sounds good, but I don't want or need a junk reel, but if it's smooth, and reliable it'd be a fun reel to leave in the truck for when I pass a lake or something unexpectedly. So does anyone have a review or any info on this company. Thanks! I am not affiliated or attached to this company in any way, just looking for honest opinions

Where to take wife
I'd say Florida around February, Bass are on beds and easy to catch and lots of lunkers in Florida. I went this year and just hit small ponds around my hotel from shore and my girlfriend and I caught a ton from 1 - 7 lbs and I lost my PB in a small 1 acre pond.

Are High End Reels Worth Hundreds?
I'm with everyone else, a reel costing between $100 and $200 is the way to go. I use mostly Revo's and I love them. This time of year with Black Friday and Christmas, you should have a problem finding a great reel and really good prices.

Bass or Multispecies?
I enjoy almost every species of fish. Matter of fact, if I'm bass fishing and get into some pickeral, bowfin, or whatever, I'm happy. They fight well and I enjoy fishing, no matter the species. Typically in the winter when bass fishing slow, I fish for pickeral a lot more. It's more fun to me as I don't have to slow down to catch them.

Curing Powder Painted Worm Weights?
I know and have powder painted worm weights for texas rigging. I know you can then then use them (paint chips easily) or epoxy over them, but is there a way to cure them? This is what I'd like to do but I can't figure out a way to make the weight suspend in the oven without sticking to anything? bent paperclip maybe? Any ideas?
