from ohh face Ohh face you dont know every fisherman..You know the people in your circle..I live on a private lake and would like to think I know everyone that fishes this lake but i dont..I have to work so there is no telling how many people get into the lake I fish and take whatever gets on there line home..If you would like to be naive about this then it is your right..I guaranteed you out of our private lake that a minimium of 50 over 6lbs was pulled out and a minimium of 5 over 10 was removed..Think about public lakes now..This is my point//You must not have very many govt sponsored fisherman in your area like georgia..

Hey SFC, I had the same problem with line issue last year..I went through all kinds..So you dont have to make the same mistake I made try P Line X-STrong in 15 to 17lb test..I guaranteed you want lose anymore fish besides a faulty tie..

One of my favorite topics about bass fishing..Everyone has been right on this post..It is your right to take the fish out of the lake and eat it, beat it, stuff it, or whatever you would like to do..I have caught several bass over 10lbs...My biggest was 12.4 oz I caught the week my son was born in Aug of 2005..I had no doubts once I caught her she was going back in the water after a picture..I could care less about a mount, because I dont fish for this..If it would have been my dad that had caught or my grandfather they would have ate it..It does not make either one of us wrong or right.. My only argument for those who keep the big fish is this..If you keep, then 15 others keep, then the next year 15 others keep, if you continue on that trend it will be harder to catch that fish of a lifetime..When you are sitting around talking to your buddies about your favorite pond or lake and ask why there are not more big fish caught think about that day you took that fish home..When you take all the big fish out, there are no more to be caught..shall I say more

The 480 is a great unit for the price of 159 coming up in the bass pro shop spring sale..I had this unit and liked it..That being said I have the 520c gps lowrance color and it is the only way to go meaning colored..I love the unit..I seriously thought about buying the side imaging hummingbird but was informed by randall that it does not work well with trolling motor only speeds..Doesnt make any sense but that is what was said..Just depends if you want to spend 350plus for the color graphs or 200less for the bw..

I have the 9.9 gas motor..I stopped my order on the briggs..I may just fish out of my riverhawk b-60..It moves pretty good with a 40lbs on front and 80 on back

Caught two over 8lbs one on spinnerbait one oz kvd white and blue spinnerbait yo yoed in about 16ft of water and one on live bait

I have the original rad lures,the booyahs,gambler swim bait, and a knock off version with a weed guard..I like the booyahs better except I fish in extremely heavy cover and it seems the booyah get hung up way too much..I liked the original rad lures but after 5 or so fish them seemed to break, and the gambler swim baits the 5 I bought for some reason will not chatter without an extreme tug of the lure...My best chatterbait I got from Senko 77 that he bought around athens ga..it has a weed guard chatters awesome and I can fish it in extreme cover with minimium hangs.. If open water..booyah IF alot of stucture..knock off chatterbait..

..I had fisher 1448 which is just like the g3..If you are putting a 40hp on this boat it would be good but because it is made for this, I did not like with trolling motors only..I seemed to be much higher out of the water which in turn, turned my boat into a sailboat..I recently purchased a 87 17 ft tracker and have been just ecstatic about this boat for what you are looking for..I would find one of these rigged and ready to go or find a fixer upper and do this..you cant beat these for trolling motor only lakes..Im in the process of selling all three of my trolling motors and buying an electric outboard

dont forget ripping lipless crankbaits through the grass on these flats..when you find the fish slow down and fish with trick worms or finesse worms on either split shot rigs,mojo rigs,slider rigs, or texas rig..with these you can pick the least active up..

to me there is no other way to go..I fish the persuaders quite about..My biggest bass ever 12.4 oz came on a white 1oz persuader..You can modify the blades by making sure they rub together to clack or sometimes when this doesnt work move them apart to be less friction..you can remove the skirts and replace with zoom fluke..This to me is an awesome presentation..In the spring through fall I throw buzzbaits about 50 % of the time..You can throw this in the middle of the day in the hot sun.. I have much more success on double buzzers than single buzzers..All I can say is tie one on and hold on..the hits are awesome

Pretty funny..reminded me of the first time took my boat out...I forget to put the plug in, I ran over a sand bar at lanier and messed up my shear shaft..My prop wouldnt turn..we were in shoal creek about 2miles or so from the boat dock in a 18 foot fisher fiberglass boat with a trolling motor that was on the brink..we had to paddle and troll back..took us almost 2hours to get back to the ramp..when we did we left and when were going down the road the winch strap broke and I hit a bump and my boat went up in the air and hit my motor..I dont think I cauesed any problems because I gave that 200 mercury hell after that lol...Trust me it gets better but nothing seems to fail..For a long time after that I was scared to go fishing. ;D

Be patient Mr young fluke grasshopper..Bling Bling will produce before it is over.. ;D..We are just happy we can catch fish in the arctic blast...And like LBH said, just pull on that tail next time and maybe we can get you over 10..lol

Hey Randall, That was my biggest issue with the stratton in that it is not being made anymore..I would like the ray outboard but 5000 for a 4 or 5 hp motor is quite about expensive..I have checked into these, and i like them, I just dont like the price lol..I bought a 9.9 gamefisher gas this week for the gas lakes..Thanks for everyones input...The problem I am running into about the trolling motors is I could go the 101 x 2 trolling motors by minn kota but I am hearing about these burning up..or overheating

Earthworm..I have no pictures of my greatgrandfather...does this mean he did not exist ;D..When the bass was caught by Perry, food was more important and there were no kinkos or photoshops or cameras that are as available as today..It just was not that important to take pictures at this time..I was not alive at this time and I can only believe what is told..They weighed this fish on either a meat scale or post office scale and cannot remember which one it was..

In those lakes with 16, 17, and 18lb fish, it is definitely possible for a fish to gain 4 more pounds to be a WR.If I caught an 18lb fish, I would tell everyone that I caught an 18lb fish but I wouldnt tell what lake because I would know that they would tell other people about it and it would get way too much fishing pressure. The only way I might try to get a fish certified was if it was over 18lbs (well i dont have to worry about that). They dont really have to worry about giving away their secret lakes in Cali because it is public knowledge which lakes hold record bass with stocked trout. Because of that, I understand that a lot of these lakes have crazy fishing pressure. That would be exactly what I wouldnt want to happen with my lake. Example: Lake Nunya Lake Nunya..You got it..The reason alot of people dont get is certified is they dont want the pressure put on the lakes it would bring...I live on Lake Nunya..It is an outstanding lake..I live 10minutes from Vaner which is imo the best lake in georgia for big fish..however I know nunya is the second best lake..The great thing it is private..In these lakes in California, I thought they were catch and release..did I misread that..If so that is what helps it..Unfortunately when you have govt sponsored fisherman catching these hogs on the bank they dont return them..To me our anglers in Georgia are not as educated about catch and release like cali..Like my neighbor on Nunya..his brother catches a 7lber this year and has it mounted.. To Matt..about these so called trophy hunters..You guys are calling out ole perry without knowledge of being there, i am going to call out so called cali hunters weakley..I bet you every penny I got in the bank,which isnt much lol, that if there were no witnesses about that fish being foul hooked it would have been the world record..I know we have been down this road before but who are you kidding..
